All-Inclusive, Adult-Only Vacation at Breathless Resort in Punta Cana

Breathless is a chain of all-inclusive resorts. There is one in Jamaica, Punta Cana and a couple in Mexico. My boyfriend and I went to the one in Punta Cana, but I would feel confident staying at Breathless again in one of their other locations as well. This resort is all-inclusive as well as adult-only, which is exactly what we were looking for as a relaxing couple getaway. However, there is a Dreams Resort next door that you also have access to that is a kid-friendly resort. We loved that we had the option to go over to the neighboring resort when we wanted to check out some different restaurants and pools, etc. It was a nice option to have and that Dreams Resort was very nice as well. If you have kids, this could be a great option for you and then you can pop over to Breathless at night for their adult-only parties if you’d like! Or if you are wanting to have your wedding here and it gives guests the option if they have kids to stay at Dreams. And the ones who don’t are able to stay on the adult-only resort if they choose!

Punta Cana’s Breathless resort has two big pool areas as well as being located right on the beach. Both pools have swim-up bars. One of the pool areas is more for socializing and parties. We call it the “party pool.” They would host DJ’s there, foam parties, etc. and it was a blast. The beach has really nice lounge chairs and the VIP section has daybeds. We upgraded to the VIP so that we had no restrictions. It was a very reasonable upgrade cost and it made us feel like we were really getting the full luxury experience. With VIP we also got access to another pool area that was very relaxing with top-shelf drinks. We were able to order room service 24//7 and let me tell you, we took full advantage of that! We had a private butler and we even got a champagne breakfast in bed one day! The whole resort was very clean and well-taken care of, including the beach. It was a nice beach to be able to swim in and we even got a few massages on the beach! All the rooms are luxury suites and were very comfortable with a patio or balcony, including a jacuzzi, perfect for that romantic getaway!

They have 10 different restaurants on site with unlimited food you can choose from, and all the food we had was amazing. Food on resorts can sometimes be questionable and feel like it can make or break your experience, but let me assure you Breathless has great food! Our favorite was the hibachi, and it is the only one you need a reservation at. The Dreams resort next door also has an additional 11 restaurants for you to choose from. Breathless also has eight bars and lounges for you to enjoy, including their xhale club lounge, which is their “VIP.” There are grills and tiki bars on the beach as well, and the whole resort had great service. The staff was incredible, very nice, quick and helpful.

With Breathless being an adult-only resort, they offer lots of entertainment and opportunities for socializing. They put on shows and entertainment every night before leading into a party, usually in the front area of the resort. They also host different entertainment and parties during the day at the “party pool.” They change everyday, so there is always something different going on. We had a foam pool party during one of the days, a white-out party on the beach and a neon pool party one of the nights. All of them were a blast. However, if you enjoy a good party here and there but also want to just relax, there are lots of places you can go to have a relaxing time. This includes the beach, their relaxing pool area, a lounge or their sports bar. They also have a small casino that was lots of fun.

I recommend Breathless Punta Cana to those who are looking for a luxurious vacation as a couple or with friends where you want to have a little extra fun without the kiddos! With plenty of opportunities for relaxation or romantic time, this place is perfect and very budget friendly. There are always events going on and fun parties to attend every day and night, so you get a great mix for the perfect vacation. Plus, the weather in Punta Cana is amazing and tends to be reliable.
