Curator’s statement
In June of 2024, I had the privilege of staying at Ocean's Edge Resort & Marina in Key West, Florida, for a site inspection. This resort exceeded my expectations, the decor was stunning and the staff were very kind and professional.

Ocean's Edge Resort & Marina is located about 15 minutes outside of Old Town, Key West. Old Town is a lively area with lots of bars, restaurants, shops and things to do. The resort offers an hourly shuttle to downtown Key West, making getting around very easy! The main draw of downtown is Duval Street, which is a great place for bachelor and bachelorette parties as they keep the party going and allow open container on this street. The area offers lots of attractions such as snorkeling, scuba diving and glass-bottom boat adventures as well as the buoy statue representing the southernmost tip of the continental United States. It is definitely an Instagram-worthy shot with the buoy statue!

The resort has an onsite dog park, marina, restaurant and complementary water sports. My family and I enjoyed the two-hour complementary kayaking that comes with your stay. They also offer stand-up paddle boarding. Staying at a resort right on an active marina is a truly unique experience. You can charter a fishing boat right from what feels like your backyard at this resort if you'd like! This resort offers multiple pools, which here were stunning and very refreshing. They even offer morning yoga classes. I highly recommend it to my clients and I'm looking forward to staying here again, only this time I want to stay much longer!
The resort's dining is also top-notch with incredible ocean views from their onsite restaurant Yellowfin Bar & Grill. I recommend the huevos rancheros for breakfast! There is an onsite cafe to grab a quick coffee or tea before you head out for the adventure of the day. Directly from the onsite marina you can rent or charter boats for the day, as this is truly the best way to experience all that Key West has to offer! I'd also recommend going on a kayak tour through the mangroves as it's a beautiful experience with the potential to spot a manatee. Bring your pet along as this resort allows up to two dogs per room at up to 60 pounds each and has its own dog park. This resort has it all for a relaxing getaway or an adventurous vacation.
Need to know
I recommend Ocean's Edge Resort & Marina Key West to my clients looking for an adventurous getaway that are into watersports or chartering sportfishing boats. I would also recommend it to my clients for pet or family travel as it is very friendly to both and girls getaways or bachelor/bachelorette parties. It is a resort that has it all right on site and the views from each room are unmatched, it is a must stay when visiting the Florida Keys!
