Curator’s statement
My recent visit to Montage Big Sky was a special experience that combined the awe-inspiring beauty of the Big Sky mountains with cherished family moments. I’ve always had a deep love for the mountains and the breathtaking scenery
Montage Big Sky is special because it offers an unparalleled blend of luxury and adventure. Nestled in the breathtaking mountains, where personalized service and stunning natural beauty create memorable experiences for everyone.
We stayed in one of the expansive residences, which was the perfect setting for our group. Adventures included horseback riding, fly fishing and exploring Yellowstone on a private tour with Truman. Another highlight of our trip was attending a local rodeo, which was an exciting and authentic experience that we all really enjoyed.

During our extended family vacation at Montage Big Sky, I had the opportunity to explore this stunning property more closely with a site visit led by Brea. I had the pleasure of working with Brea at Montage Big Sky, and she was absolutely fantastic. She played a key role in booking our trip and finding the perfect residence for our stay. When our ideal dates weren't initially available, Brea and her team worked diligently to secure them, ensuring that our plans were exactly what we wanted.
Montage Big Sky offers a diverse range of accommodations, from well-appointed guest rooms to expansive residences. Brea gave a detailed tour of the property, showcasing the various room layouts and residence options that are available to meet different clients needs. We toured various layout options, including one-bedroom suites and expansive six-bedroom residences. Each space is thoughtfully designed to cater to different group sizes and preferences, ensuring a comfortable stay for couples, families or larger groups. The residences, where we stayed, were particularly impressive, with ample space, high-end finishes and panoramic views that capture the beauty of Big Sky. Some even have their own hot tubs. I feel confident booking any future clients with Brea, knowing they'll be in great hands.
One of the most remarkable features of Montage Big Sky is the view from the Great Room. Whether you’re sipping a morning coffee or relaxing after a day of adventure, the vistas of the surrounding mountains are simply spectacular. The architecture and design seamlessly blend with the natural environment, creating a sense of tranquility and connection to the Montana landscape.
The property boasts several on-site restaurants that cater to a variety of tastes. Whether you're in the mood for fine dining or a casual meal, the culinary options at Montage Big Sky do not disappoint. The attention to detail in both service and cuisine is evident, making each dining experience a memorable one.
Montage Big Sky is a year-round destination with activities to suit every season. In the summer, guests can enjoy hiking, mountain biking, horse-back riding, fly fishing, rafting and other outdoor activities. The pool area is another highlight, offering a relaxing spot to unwind after a day of exploration. During the winter months, the resort transforms into a ski-in/ski-out paradise, providing easy access to some of the best skiing in the country.
Overall, Montage Big Sky stands out as a premier destination for those seeking luxury, adventure and the unparalleled beauty of Montana. Whether you're planning a family getaway, a romantic escape or an active vacation, this property offers everything you need for a memorable stay.
