Curator’s statement
Just last fall, we had the opportunity to check out the brand-new Thompson Hotel Madrid. This also marked our first visit to the Capital of Spain. From the get-go, our experience was unforgettable. The warm welcome we received upon arrival really set the tone for our entire stay. They even treated us to refreshing water and chilled towels during check-in, which was a delightful surprise.

Upon check in we were informed that we had been upgraded to a roomy one-bedroom suite with stunning views of the vibrant streets below.
Our suite was like a haven of opulence and coziness. It had a beautifully designed bathroom that included a luxurious rain shower, a generously proportioned soaking tub, and a state-of-the-art Toto bidet toilet. The bathroom also came fully equipped with complimentary take-home goodies, such as a shaving kit and makeup removal pads. What's more, the shower was stocked with full-sized bottles of Thompson's signature products, crafted by D.S. & Durga's Bowmakers.
The room itself had electronically controlled curtains, making it a breeze to adjust the lighting and privacy to our exact preferences. The well-stocked mini bar and the selection of signature Thompson amenities added to the overall convenience and enjoyment of our stay. Additionally, the separate living room with its lofty ceilings, featured a second flat-screen TV. The bedroom, adorned with leather and marble accents, exuded an air of elegance and sophistication.
Omar, the all-day restaurant at the Thompson, had an impressive selection of mouthwatering breakfast options. Their on-site bakery produces some of the most delectable pastries we've ever had. The staff was incredibly attentive and always went the extra mile to make our breakfast experience feel truly personalized. During the summer when the rooftop is open, you can enjoy a bar serving cocktails and light bites like poke bowls. In the lobby lounge, lattes and cocktails are available throughout the day.
Fueled by our satisfying breakfast, we embarked on our daily adventures, using the Thompson Hotel Madrid as our ideal home base. Thompson Madrid hotel's Puerta del Sol location allowed us to easily explore the city's treasures and fully immerse ourselves in its vibrant culture. Whether we were strolling through charming neighborhoods, visiting iconic landmarks, or savoring the local cuisine, our stay at this extraordinary hotel elevated our entire experience.
