Curator’s statement
I highly recommend staying at the Hilton Amsterdam for its perfect blend of tranquility and convenience. The hotel's location in a quieter neighborhood allows for a peaceful retreat, yet it's just a short distance from major attractions like the Rijksmuseum and Van Gogh Museum. The exceptional dining options, from the authentic Italian cuisine at Roberto’s Restaurant to the cozy Half Moon Lounge, provide delicious experiences right on site. Additionally, the historical significance of hosting John and Yoko’s "bed-in" protest adds a unique touch to your stay, making it both memorable and culturally enriching. The attentive service and comfortable accommodations ensure a truly relaxing visit.

From the moment we arrived at the Hilton Amsterdam, we were greeted with exceptional service at the front desk. The staff was incredibly welcoming and efficient, ensuring our check-in process was smooth and pleasant. The hotel's design immediately caught our attention with its elegant blend of modern sophistication and classic charm. The spacious lobby featured stylish furnishings and tasteful decor, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere. Large windows allowed natural light to flood the space, enhancing the serene ambiance of this canal-side retreat.
Our room was a perfect blend of comfort and luxury, with contemporary design elements and thoughtful amenities. The bed was incredibly comfortable, and the room offered stunning views of the tranquil canal outside. We had everything we needed for a relaxing stay, from a well-equipped minibar to a plush seating area. The bathroom was equally impressive, with high-end fixtures and a spacious layout that made getting ready each day a pleasure. The attention to detail in the room's design truly enhanced our overall experience.
Dining at Roberto's Restaurant was by far one of the highlights of our stay. The restaurant's dedication to authentic Italian cuisine was evident in every dish. We started our meal with a delightful antipasto platter featuring a variety of cured meats, cheeses and marinated vegetables. For the main course, we enjoyed perfectly cooked pasta dishes and tender, flavorful meats that transported us straight to Italy. The ambiance of the restaurant, with its elegant decor and warm lighting, provided the perfect setting for a memorable dinner. The service was impeccable, with knowledgeable staff who made excellent recommendations and ensured we had a wonderful dining experience.
Room service at the Hilton Amsterdam offered a diverse menu with options available around the clock, perfect for satisfying late-night cravings. We indulged in a few midnight snacks during our stay, enjoying delicious dishes in the comfort and privacy of our room. Whether we were in the mood for a light salad or a hearty sandwich, the room service menu had something for everyone. The convenience and quality of the food made it a great option for times when we wanted to relax and dine in.
Our stay was made even more special as we were celebrating our anniversary, and a friend was celebrating her birthday. The hotel staff went above and beyond to make us feel celebrated, surprising us with a beautiful cake and a bottle of champagne in each of our rooms. This thoughtful gesture added a personal touch to our stay and made our special occasions even more memorable. The Hilton Amsterdam truly caters to all types of travelers, whether you're visiting with family, friends, as a couple or even solo. The exceptional service, luxurious accommodations and attention to detail make it a standout choice for anyone looking to experience the best of Amsterdam.
