From luxurious accommodations and stunning views to its proximity to Chicago’s top attractions, LondonHouse offers everything you need for a memorable city getaway.

Located in the heart of Chicago

LondonHouse Chicago is at the intersection of North Michigan Avenue and Wacker Drive along the Chicago River. This convenient spot is within walking distance of many of the city’s key attractions. Whether you’re interested in shopping on The Magnificent Mile, taking in the art and greenery at Millennium Park or simply exploring the bustling energy of downtown Chicago, the location of LondonHouse is hard to beat.

Plus, the hotel sits right next to the Chicago Riverwalk. You can stroll, dine and take in the beautiful cityscape along the scenic waterfront path. The Riverwalk is a relaxing place to spend some time. It’s also the starting point for the highly recommended Chicago Architecture Boat Tour, a must-do for a unique perspective on the city’s rich architectural history. Glide past iconic buildings such as the Wrigley Building, Willis Tower, Navy Pier and Tribune Tower.

Luxurious River View room

I stayed in one of the River View rooms, which offered some of the best views I’ve ever experienced in a hotel. The sweeping scene of the Chicago River and the city’s historic bridges mesmerizes day and night. The rooms are modern, spacious and thoughtfully designed, with comfortable furnishings and a sleek, luxurious bathroom featuring a walk-in shower and premium toiletries. It was the perfect blend of elegance and comfort, making it easy to relax after a long day of exploring.

Rooftop experience – LH Rooftop

One of the highlights of LondonHouse is undoubtedly the LH Rooftop. Known as one of the best rooftop bars in Chicago, it offers unbeatable 360-degree views of the Chicago skyline and the river. The lively bar has a great mix of locals and visitors enjoying craft cocktails and small bites.

The view is stunning — the glittering skyline paired with the shimmering glow of lights on the water creates a magical atmosphere that makes the LondonHouse Rooftop feel like a special escape above the city. Visit at sunset for maximum enjoyment. If visiting in the winter, you can reserve an igloo to stay warm.

Dining at LondonHouse

The hotel offers a range of unique dining options. Land & Lake Kitchen, located on the ground floor, serves classic American comfort food with a fresh, modern twist. The Lake Michigan whitefish is a standout dish. Attentive service and a warm atmosphere give it a cozy yet upscale feel.

For a more casual meal, LH on 21 is a fantastic spot to grab dinner or lunch while enjoying panoramic views of the city. Elevated American fare, such as burgers, focaccia, small plates and entrees, is served alongside a full bar and extensive wine list.

Brunch and seasonal afternoon tea are served in the lobby area.

Nearby attractions and activities

LondonHouse’s central location makes it easy to enjoy many of Chicago’s top attractions:

• Millennium Park: Just a short walk away, you can visit Cloud Gate (known as “The Bean”) and take in the stunning landscaping and public art displays.

• The Magnificent Mile: If shopping is on your agenda, you’re just a few minutes from Chicago’s premier shopping district, filled with high-end boutiques, department stores and restaurants.

• Chicago Riverwalk: Aside from its scenic views, it is also a hub for kayaking, boat rentals and river tours. If you’re interested in Chicago’s famous architecture, the Chicago Architecture Boat Tour departs from this area and offers a fascinating and scenic way to learn about the city’s skyline.

Impeccable service and amenities

The service at LondonHouse was exceptional throughout my stay. From the helpful front desk staff to the seamless valet service, the hotel takes care of every detail. The property also features a fitness center, which was clean and well-equipped, though I spent most of my time enjoying the sights of the city.

Need to know

If you’re looking for a luxurious hotel that combines breathtaking views, a prime downtown location and top-tier amenities, LondonHouse Chicago is the ideal choice. Whether you’re sipping cocktails on the rooftop, relaxing in a chic River View room or exploring nearby attractions like Millennium Park or the Chicago Riverwalk, this hotel offers an unmatched experience. I highly recommend it to anyone visiting the Windy City.
