Site Inspection of Capri Inn in Naples, Florida
Curator’s statement

In June of 2024, I did a site inspection of Capri Inn in Naples, Florida. This boutique hotel is part of the Opal Collection and was completely renovated in 2023. Its location, coastal-chic design, amazing staff and room options make it a great place to stay when visiting Old Naples in Southwest Florida.

Room options

With a variety of room options, Capri Inn is a great place for couples, families or the solo traveler. All are welcome and will be treated well here.

Standard guest rooms are 315-330 sq ft and include one king bed or two double beds. Each features a marble bathroom with walk-in shower and separate tub. Some standard guest rooms also have a double sofa sleeper or a French balcony.

One-bedroom suites are available and are 600 sq ft, with one king bedroom and a double sofa sleeper in the living room area. They also have a very nice kitchenette with a mini fridge, microwave, wet bar and coastal-chic dining table for four. An oversized, marble bathroom with a walk-in shower and separate tub complete the one-bedroom suites.

Coquina Cottage is a private, tropical cottage on the inn’s grounds. It is 1500 sq ft and sleeps four, with one king bedroom that also features a walk-in closet and an en-suite marble bathroom with a walk-in shower and a separate tub, and one queen bedroom. The cottage has a bright, full kitchen, washer and dryer, a cozy living room with a fireplace and a second bathroom, all with coastal decor that makes the stay truly feel like a tropical vacation. Coquina Cottage has its own private, gated entrance with a small yard and patio with outdoor seating.

Amenities

Daily morning coffee and pastries from a local bakery and evening beer and wine are served in the Lobby Lounge and included with the stay. Guests will be treated to local, live music in the lounge on occasion as well. An outdoor, private terrace allows guests to gather and unwind.

A tropical pool with lounge chairs welcomes guests to relax and enjoy the Southwest Florida sunshine.

Capri Inn also has an electric GEM cart to transport guests within one mile of the hotel. It is the perfect way to get to the pristine Naples Beach, 5th Avenue — filled with top-notch restaurants, shopping and art galleries. Tin City, the historic waterfront district with locally owned boutique stores, wineries, restaurants and a variety of boat tours, and Cambier Park, with live music and festivals happening year round, make great excursions. Bikes are also included with your stay and can be another great way to explore Old Naples.

Mobility-accessible accommodations are found in all areas of the hotel.
