First impressions
Occupying the top seven floors of a shiny skyscraper in the upscale Kioicho district is this sleek and sexy hideaway in the city skies. Step off the elevator into the 36th-floor lobby, and you’ll immediately be hypnotized by the infinite views of the Tokyo skyline thanks to walls of floor-to-ceiling windows. The lobby overlooks the ornate two-floor Sky Gallery Lounge Levita, where an illuminated, waterfall-inspired glass installation by artist Mari Noguchi frames a 30-foot window. As you might expect from its name, head-turning art is found throughout the The Prince Gallery Tokyo Kioicho. The wow factor continues with the 250 stylish, modern, sky-high rooms and suites, offering refuge from the city's bustle.
Rooms
The beds are big and pillowy, and divine daybeds anchor the windows, allowing guests to stretch out and float above the glittering megacity. Spa-like bathrooms come with Byredo amenities, smart toilets, and a separate bathing room featuring a massive bathtub and walk-in shower enclosed by glass walls that frost at the flick of a button. Additionally, tablets are available for guests to control the temperature, lighting and curtains, and give guests instant access to staff for room service, concierge and other requests. After soaking in your room's heavenly bath, be sure to slip into a yukata and throw on a pair of slippers to truly experience heaven on earth.
Food, drink & spa
The hotel is home to several food and beverage venues, including Oasis Garden on the upmost floor, an all-day dining venue conceived as “nature in the sky” replete with mesmerizing city views. Tip: Don’t miss their killer breakfast. Washoku Souten, the hotel's signature Japanese restaurant, serves up traditional Japanese flavors with a contemporary twist in a sumptuous setting. Additionally, there is a sushi counter, teppanyaki counter, sake bar and private rooms here. Ready for drinks? Discerning cocktail drinkers will feel right at home at The Bar illumiid, a moodily lit and intimate haunt outfitted in rich leathers and complete with a cigar salon. As for The Sky Gallery Lounge Levita? It’s the hotel bar to end all hotel bars and an atmospheric always buzzy hotspot. Here, designer-clad guests sip beautifully poured cocktails, and Blade Runner-esque views abound via the floor-to-ceiling windows. The property also has an expansive spa on the 30th floor, complete with a gym, spa treatment rooms, sauna, indoor pool and baths.
