Curator’s statement
In October 2023, I participated in a great familiarization trip to Aruba. We were hosted by the beautiful Hyatt Regency Aruba. I loved the location, the pool/beach, great food & beverage options, but most of all the amazingly friendly & hospitable staff was outstanding.

The resort is located about 20 minutes from the airport. The airport was easy to navigate and transportation could be arranged in advance by the resort concierge. The hotel is also located across the street from fun shops and restaurants. The main drag of Aruba is only 10 minutes away, and features even more shopping and dining options. Upon arrival, you can see the lovely sea view and feel the ocean breeze. You are greeted warmly by staff and the hotel is large but not overwhelming. The pool, beach, restaurants, spa, activities are located on site and walking around the property is very easy and accessible.
Need to know
I highly recommend the resort because of its friendly staff. We experienced an ocean-view room, which I found well-appointed for pool/beach life. Most rooms have a Juliette balcony, but they also have larger, oceanfront rooms with big balconies/furnishings. Make sure your client knows this. 85% of the rooms have partial or better ocean views. Dining options were plentiful, ranging from upscale/comfortable dining al-fresco, beachfront breakfast room with patio (and air conditioning, which is not always included in beach destinations), beach bar, and a great lobby bar. All the food options were varied and well-prepared. I particularly loved the fresh fish at Ruinas del Mar, the upscale dining room that had a beautiful bar, tables near a waterfall and coi pond. The pool areas were beautiful and had both active family areas, and saltwater adult pools. The best feature was that all guests have access to their online booking platform so that you can reserve a cabana, pool lounger, beach palapa or large beach tent IN ADVANCE! No guests are placing towels at the loungers at 5am. There was plenty of space for all. I also loved the spa area and selection of treatments. The rooms were comfortable, and the therapists were very well-trained. An additional benefit of the Hyatt's location is the pier for catamaran and watersport activities. Guests board the boats directly in front of the hotel, so no transfer is needed for that. I also enjoyed the plentiful complimentary activities such as yoga, meditation, chef classes, and more. There is a casino, but it did not dominate the scene. We also had a complete island tour, and the Hyatt is located close (10-20 minutes) from other Aruba beaches where guests can drive (parking at the property is included) and experience the amazing Caribbean Sea.
Overall, I found the Hyatt Regency Aruba is a great choice for guests because it has it all. One can be very active or extremely relaxed, depending on their style of vacation. Don't hesitate to book it and their attentive sales staff will assist you as needed.
