In September of 2023, I conducted a site inspection of The Resort at Paws Up, a renowned luxury wilderness retreat nestled in the breathtaking landscape of Montana. Boasting 37,000 acres, this all inclusive ranch throws you into the spirit of the west that is perfect for couples, families, retreats, family reunions or weddings.

Location and Arrival:

The Resort at Paws Up is conveniently located approximately 35 miles from Missoula International Airport, making it easily accessible for guests arriving by air. The drive from the airport to the resort offers scenic views of Montana's natural beauty, setting the stage for an unforgettable experience.

Accommodations:

The resort offers a variety of accommodation options, including luxury tents, private homes and luxury cabins. During my site inspection, I had the opportunity to visit several types of accommodations, and I was thoroughly impressed with their quality, cleanliness, and attention to detail. The luxury tents, in particular, offered a unique and upscale camping experience, with comfortable furnishings and modern amenities, including ensuite bathrooms.

Dining:

The dining experiences at The Resort at Paws Up are exceptional. The culinary offerings are outstanding. The menus feature a blend of regional and international cuisine, using locally sourced ingredients whenever possible. The staff is well-trained and attentive, enhancing the overall dining experience.

Meeting and Event Facilities:

For corporate events, weddings and special occasions, the resort offers a range of indoor and outdoor venues. These spaces are versatile and can accommodate a variety of group sizes. During my visit, I inspected the conference rooms and outdoor event spaces, all of which were well-maintained and equipped with audiovisual technology.

Recreational Activities:

The Resort at Paws Up boasts an extensive list of recreational activities for guests to enjoy. These include horseback riding, fly-fishing, hiking, river activities and more. During my visit they were having a master chef competition that included multiple evening of meals prepared by world renown chefs.

Spa and Wellness:

The resort's spa pavilion is a haven of relaxation. I toured the spa facilities and found them to be inviting and well-appointed. The menu of spa treatments offers a wide range of options for guests seeking relaxation and rejuvenation.

The Resort at Paws Up is a world-class luxury retreat that seamlessly combines rustic charm with modern amenities in the heart of Montana's pristine wilderness. During my site inspection, I was consistently impressed by the quality of service, accommodations, dining and recreational activities offered by the resort. It is evident that the resort is committed to providing guests with an exceptional and memorable experience.
