This hotel is best suited for young couples, people interested in interior design/the club's glamorous history, people who would enjoy eclectic/boutique experiences and those who like clubbing/electronic music would be good too, but it is not kid friendly. The location is great, in the middle of the Marais neighborhood (like NYC's Soho) and plenty of bars, cafés and restaurants within walking distance.
A quick history: The original building served as a Turkish bathhouse, operated as a nightclub (similar to NYC's Studio 54 so Warhol, Jagger, Bowie, Roman Polanski, models, etc. were in attendance) in the '80s and opened as a hotel/restaurant in 2015.
Public spaces include a stylish sitting room with a small bar operating under the honor system (you grab it, and you write your room number down). The restaurant has a nice bar, flanked by two indoor/outdoor seating areas where you can have breakfast/lunch/dinner. The dining room also includes a private dining area, built in the building's former water tank, and can accommodate 10-12 people for an event. The club is only open on the weekend. The club space accommodates 100-200 people, available for private events. It's also connected to the indoor "pool" (I use quotations because it's really tiny), which I'm sure lead to some interesting moments at the height of the club days.
Peak times are May, June, September and October. If there is interest in the suites, the hotel suggests booking out months in advance, especially if there is interest using both adjoining suites.
The hotel offers a spa menu. There is a multi-use space on the 3rd floor with two treatment rooms and you have access to the bottom floor pool and steam room. I got a Tibetan massage and it was lovely.
There are 39 total rooms in the hotel, and they all have notable differences. I stayed in a Deluxe Double, which was quite roomy and comfortable. I also saw:
1x Classic with no balcony
1x Classic with a balcony, interior facing
1x Executive room with balcony street facing and hammam in the room with bathtub, 2nd floor
1x Junior suite with outdoor shower and hammam
1x Guerbois suite with a connecting door with claw foot bathroom and shower with hammam
1x executive suite, 2x toilets and separate bath tub and shower, with outdoor shower, kitchen
I stayed in a Deluxe Double with a friend, which was super spacious and comfortable. The street view was very cute. I found the perfume sample (they make it across the street) and personalized stationary to be a very nice touch. They also left a gift of red wine and macarons.
The largest room is the Executive Suite with two toilets, a living room, a separate tub and shower, an outdoor shower and seating area and the only room with a kitchen. This space is often used during Fashion Week for designers to privately showcase their work.
Across the street is their perfume shop, where they create perfumes that align with the club/hotel's history. For example, Prince's performance at Les Bains has a perfume called Purple Nights. The perfume shop offered a two-hour personalized experience (in the shop, in your room, next to the pool) and includes this sample perfume kit.
I highly recommend this hotel, it has such interesting design and history. You will be feeling peak coolness staying here, it's just très chic!
