Situated in the heart of the vibrant New Orleans Warehouse District, The Barnett shines as a beacon of authentic charm and effortless coolness. From the moment you step through its doors, The Barnett envelopes you in an atmosphere that's both hip and welcoming, where the spirit of New Orleans thrives on every corner.

During our recent weekend getaway to the Big Easy, my husband and I had the pleasure of calling The Barnett home for a few unforgettable days. And let me tell you, it hit all the marks.

A band on stage in a dimly-lit room

But what sets The Barnett apart from the abundance of accommodations in this bustling city?

First impressions matter, and The Barnett certainly knows how to make one. It brings the lively, good-time spirit of the city right into the lobby. Blending contemporary flair with historic charm, The Barnett exudes a vibe that is both modern and timeless. Housed in a historic building that dates back to the early 20th century, The Barnett has a story to tell.

We opted for a stay in The Barnett’s Medium room, which featured a king bed adorned with a custom quilt designed specifically for NOLA, along with cozy window seats perfect for taking in the energy of the city below. The room came equipped with all the amenities we could ask for, including a plush bathrobe, a fully-stocked minibar with Smeg refrigerators, a Tivoli Radio and complimentary Wi-Fi to keep us connected.

A decorated indoor bar

It's not just about the stylish décor or the trendy vibes — it's about the sense of community, the genuine hospitality and the celebration of all things NOLA. The Barnett partners and supports local artists and musicians — through their quarterly Artists in Residence program, craft markets hosted in the lobby and stage performances.

Location is everything, and The Barnett nails it. Just steps away from the vibrant energy of the French Quarter, The Barnett provides easy access to the city's best attractions, restaurants, and bars. You can easily immerse yourself in the rich tapestry of New Orleans' culture without driving your day away.

But The Barnett is more than just a place to rest your head. It boasts two fantastic restaurants, a coffee shop, a live music venue and a rooftop pool that gives sweeping views of the city skyline. It's the perfect spot to unwind after a day of exploring the Big Easy.

What we loved:

  • Affordable rates without compromising on quality

Things to keep in mind:

If you're sensitive to noise, opt for a quieter room away from the street.
