Curator’s statement
I visited Florence recently on a solo trip! I loved it so much. To begin, I selected a 12-room guest house called Casa Howard. It is located just two blocks from the train station and offers unique private rooms, each with a different decor. The service is outstanding with 24 hour concierge service, daily breakfast tray to your room (or served on patio of the house), bottled water and daily housekeeping.

Casa Howard is located next to a perfumerie that is an iconic Florence institution. The guest house features their lovely products in each room. It is called Oficina Profumo Farmaceutica Santa Maria Novella. It is not to be missed!
Prices are seasonal and range from $300+ per room, per night. The owner was a wonderful man who is expanding the food and beverage offerings to include optional dinners.
The guest house is located within walking distance of all major sites, sounds and amazing views of Florence.
