Curator’s statement
In November of 2024, my wife and I sailed on MSC Seashore. It was our first MSC cruise and it was a great experience. We elected for the Aurea experience which gave us priority boarding and upgraded balcony. We also has a private area to enjoy with couches, lounges and hot tubs. We enjoyed our time with MSC for the short four days that we were with them.

Kelly and I flew into Orlando, FL the day prior to our embarkation. I had booked with Go Port to handle our transfer. Go Port booked a hotel at one of the pickup locations. We stayed at the Ramada near the airport. The hotel picked us up after our flight landed.
The next morning, right on time, a Go Port representative met us in the hotel lobby and confirmed the bus was on its way. We rolled our bags onto the bus and never had to touch them again until they arrived in our cabin. We arrived at the MSC terminal in about 45 minutes. The cost of the room was about $100.
The boarding process was quick and efficient. We were onboard within about 30 minutes of getting off the bus. The MSC Seashore was spectacular from stem to stern. I was able to status match to their top tier because I am a Diamond status in Hilton Rewards. Be sure to check with your clients. There is a simple form on the MSC website under Voyagers club. We had a bottle of Prosecco and chocolates in your cabin on our arrival.
There are multiple main dining rooms that you are assigned to depending on the experience level and cabin that you choose. MSC has Bella, Fantastical and Aurea levels from least expensive to more expensive. We chose my time dining and never waited more than 5 minutes to be seated. The wait staff and foot was equivalent to other cruise lines.
We did experience a specialty dinner at the Steakhouse for free because of my status match to Diamond level. It was my birthday so I also received a free birthday cake and was serenaded by the entire staff in the small and cozy restaurant.
Our first port was Miami, Kelly and I chose an excursion in which we took an airboat ride in the Everglades. It was fun and exciting for all ages. After this, we were brought back to the local marina and took a ride around Biscayne Bay. We saw the homes of many rich and famous people. I booked this through Shipmate.
Day two was on Ocean Cay, MSC’s private island. We spent the day lounging in a cabana that was booked in the MSC For Me app. We had the whole place to ourselves. A cooler filled with water was available. Your drink package was honored on the island. There were several dining options.
During our stop in Nassau, we took a boat ride to Blue Lagoon Island and did the Sea Lion experience. Be sure to wear your bathing suit because you will be getting into the water with them.
Overall, we had a great time on MSC. I would recommend MSC highly to everyone. They have a great program for kids and plenty of things for adults to do.
Need to know
Once onboard, you can buy a wristband for about $15 for two. You can open your cabin with them and pay for drinks and merchandise without needing your room card. You must have the cabin card when you leave or board the ship, even at Ocean Cay.
