All-Inclusive Stay in Punta Cana, Dominican Republic
Curator’s statement

At the end of 2023, I treated myself to an all-inclusive stay at Melia Punta Cana Beach Resort in Punta Cana, Dominican Republic. While the service was five-stars, the resort also included an expansive beach, massive pool, several restaurants, a tranquil spa and wellness activities. If you're looking for a Caribbean getaway, I strongly recommend this resort!

Where to stay

This is a large resort with many amenities so I would recommend staying at least five nights to have enough time to experience all of it.

Situated near the white sandy beach is the largest pool I’ve ever seen with dozens of lounge chairs for sun bathing. The guest rooms are in a line of villas leading up to the large dining hall which serves a breakfast buffet every morning. There is also a beach activities area with volleyball, and a hut for yoga and group meditation.

About a half mile away from the beach is the main lobby, spa, more guest rooms and a variety of restaurants. The resort provides golf cart shuttles to transport guest to the other side of the resort but the 10-minute walk allows you to enjoy gardens, animals (like the resident peacock) and other hidden details. The main lobby is welcoming for new guests and hosts live entertainment in the evenings. The spa includes a sauna, steam room and hydrotherapy pools.

Dining facilities include a buffets, and multiple restaurants with a variety of cuisines (Mediterranean, Vietnamese, Caribbean), multiple bars and a juice/smoothie bar. The best part about staying at an all-inclusive resort is how the staff will never stop serving you more drinks and offering you more food. You can enjoy as much as you want.

The Level is an optional VIP service package available at Melia Punta Cana Beach Resort. With this package, you get an upgraded room near the beach and your own personal concierge who will take care of whatever you need - book your restaurant reservations, book your spa reservations, give you the daily activities schedule, and check in with you each day to make sure your stay is perfect. The Level guests also get access to an air conditioned VIP lounge with a self-serve bar with premium liquor, private pool and beach areas with comfy Bali beds. If you’re looking to have the highest quality service and smoothest experience, I highly recommend upgrading to The Level.

Need to know

This is a great resort for couples, families, friends or even just going solo. I thoroughly researched the guest reviews before my trip and found that those who upgraded to The Level had a smoother more enjoyable stay.
