The resort puts on incredibly welcoming, family-friendly holiday events for Easter, July 4th and Christmas, making it a festive destination year-round. They also host an annual dog show (last year was emceed by Montecito local and “Best in Show” star Jane Lynch) and invite the community to be a part of it, adding to the warm and inclusive atmosphere.

Upon arrival, guests are greeted by the pastel-hued Miramar Jolly, which offers complimentary rides (subject to availability). The heart of the property is the Great Lawn, perfect for lounging or play, flanked by two gated pools:

• The Cabana Pool – Family-friendly, featuring the Scoop Shop with sweet treats for kids.

• The Manor Pool – A sophisticated adults-only oasis.

Owned by real estate developer Rick Caruso and managed by Rosewood, the resort includes an elevated shopping experience with luxury brands like Bottega Veneta, Loro Piana, Zegna, and Brunello Cucinelli.

Dog-friendly atmosphere

The resort is incredibly pet-friendly — our doodle was doted on and welcomed everywhere. It feels like part of the ethos here.

The room: beachfront elegance

We stayed in a Beach House room, located right on the sand. Interiors featured plush furnishings and spacious marble bathrooms with deep soaking tubs and rainfall showers.

The beach: a nostalgic touch

Guests enjoy direct beach access with complimentary chairs, umbrellas and attentive beachside service. A highlight was the return of the famed Miramar swim raft, a nostalgic summer tradition we loved.

Dining: elevated coastal cuisine

• The Revere Room – A bright, airy, all-day dining spot emphasizing fresh, locally sourced ingredients. The Cobb Salad is a go-to.

• Miramar Beach Bar – A laid-back beachfront bar serving casual fare, from burgers to tacos — perfect for an afternoon by the water.

• The Manor Bar – A sophisticated, dimly lit lounge with expertly crafted cocktails. While the resort is known for its extravagant NYE celebration, Le Bal Cristal, we opted for a more intimate evening with cocktails and bar bites in the library.
