If you are visiting Costa Rica and staying in the area of Arenal Volcano and La Fortuna, I highly recommend Tabacon Thermal Resort & Spa. It is a beautiful property and it's natural hot springs put it over the top in terms of a special experience. The food and drinks are excellent, too. It is great for couples, girls' trips and multi-couple trips. One caveat is that while the resort is very accommodating to people with mobility issues (they offer carts for transportation and assistance where needed), it is not ideal as some of the best areas of the resort such as the thermal river are a bit challenging to access if you don't have sure footing.
