The Saccharum Resort & Spa is great for modern design lovers! With its clean lines and contemporary features, there are great ocean views from different spots on each level of the hotel. The hotel's sleek architecture and minimalist aesthetic isn’t for everyone but great for travelers who like that vibe.
Location
The resort's location is great, right at the edge of town, it’s a comfortable stroll to the center where travelers can explore local restaurants and attractions along the charming waterfront/marina. (Great options for local seafood!)
Service quality
The welcoming staff consistently provided exceptional service throughout my stay, promptly assisting with requests for spa appointments, meals and any other needs that arose.
Rooms & amenities
The rooms were very clean, spacious and nicely designed. Definitely recommend the ocean view rooms that have a nice sized balcony. The beds were a tad firm side but still comfortable. The spacious balconies offer a cozy spot to relax and enjoy the fresh air and listen to the waves crash on the shore across the street. If you're in need of some pampering, the spa is a tranquil oasis with high-quality facilities and treatments. They were even able to fit me in after checkout for a massage as I had some time before going to my next location.
The rooftop pool is an absolute highlight, offering panoramic ocean views that will take your breath away, especially at sunset. Whether you are looking to relax and soak up the sun or enjoy a refreshing swim, this is the place to be! And don't forget the rooftop bar/restaurant, where you can unwind with a delicious drink while basking in the stunning scenery. On the practical side, the parking was a little awkward with a narrow entrance and corner to navigate but fairly spacious when you get past that.
Dining
Imagine starting your day with a delightful breakfast on the pool deck, surrounded by the beauty of the ocean. The hotel's dining options are a treat for your taste buds, and complement the ambiance of the property. I tried three of the four dining/bar options on the property (Engenho, Trapiche and Fly Lounge Bar). Engenho had a good amount of options for their continental breakfast (from savory to sweet and lots of fruit) and the outdoor patio had great views. Trapiche on the rooftop overlooking the pool and ocean. Nice al fresco dining spot good for lunch/catching sunset with drinks. Fly Lounge Bar had delicious cocktails and later in the evening live music which is a nice draw for guests.

If you're looking for a modern, stylish and sophisticated retreat with stunning ocean views and easy access to local gems, the Saccharum Resort & Spa is a nice choice.
