London
During my stay in London, the Kimpton Fitzroy impressed me with its exceptional service and luxurious accommodations. From the moment I arrived, the staff went above and beyond to ensure every detail of my stay was impeccable. The room itself was a haven of comfort and style, providing a perfect retreat after days filled with exploration. The historic building does a great job of showcasing all its charm while still having all the modern amenities and touches.
While in London, one of the highlights was a fascinating graffiti tour, where I discovered the vibrant street art scene throughout the city. A leisurely river cruise down the Thames offered a serene perspective of London's iconic landmarks, while a private tour of the Churchill Rooms provided a profound glimpse into the life of one of Britain's most influential leaders.
Edinburgh
In Edinburgh, the Kimpton Charlotte Square Hotel captivated me with its warm hospitality, well-appointed rooms and delightful culinary offerings. The attentive service made me feel truly welcomed, ensuring a memorable stay throughout. From the second I got off the train, I was greeted, not only by the lovely staff, but also a gentlemen playing the bagpipes. Talk about a warm Scottish welcome.
Exploring the historic Old Town on a guided walking tour is a journey through centuries of Scottish history and architecture, with each cobblestone street revealing tales of intrigue and resilience. A whisky tasting experience further enriched my visit, offering a taste of Scotland's renowned spirit and deepening my appreciation for its cultural significance.
Glasgow
My journey continued to Glasgow, where the Kimpton Blythswood Square Hotel stood as a luxurious sanctuary in this vibrant city. The hotel's elegant ambiance and impeccable service provided a perfect base for exploring both Glasgow and the nearby Highlands.
Venturing into the Highlands, I embarked on a breathtaking tour through the rugged landscapes, where misty mountains and serene lochs painted a scene straight from a postcard. This excursion offered a profound connection to Scotland's natural beauty, complementing the urban charm and cultural richness found in Glasgow itself.
My travels through London, Edinburgh and Glasgow while staying at Kimpton properties, were truly exceptional. From luxurious accommodations to immersive cultural experiences, each city offers a unique glimpse into the richness of the United Kingdom.
