I recently took a cruise on the amazing Celebrity Beyond out of Fort Lauderdale, Florida. The embarkation process was the smoothest that I have ever experienced. The ship is big and beautiful, with fantastic restaurants and a superb buffet included in your cruise fare. There are specialty restaurants like Daniel Boulud’s Le Voyage and the one-of-a-kind Eden restaurant.

Solarium onboard Celebrity Beyond
There is plenty to do onboard Celebrity Beyond, including shopping, entertainment, a relaxing solarium, games, sunbathing and much more. The most surprising and fun activity onboard, if you are a pickleball enthusiast, is the pickleball courts. The activities on the Rooftop Garden provide an open-air court with panoramic ocean views on the top deck of the ship. The ship has a pickleball pro onboard for lessons from beginner to advanced players and open play throughout the cruise.

Celebrity Cruises offers pickleball on several of its ships, including the Edge Series ships, such as Celebrity Beyond and Celebrity Apex. If you are a pickleball fan who does not want to miss their daily pickleball game, this is the cruise for you.

Need to know
Pickleball is complimentary and open to players of all skill levels. Guests can play at their leisure, pending court availability, or participate in organized events and tournaments led by the ship’s activities team. Separate times are scheduled for adult play (18 and over) and family play (ages six and older). Equipment, including nets, paddles and balls, is provided, but guests are welcome to bring their own.
