Nestled amid the olive-filled landscapes of Fasano, Puglia, Masseria Montenapoleone is more than just a destination — it's a journey into the soul of Puglia. This farm stay’s rich, 17th-century history intertwines with its picturesque features and biodiversity. From ancient fig trees to a flourishing winery, guests are invited to immerse themselves in the region’s cultural tapestry. Enjoy dining experiences with Chef Domenico Consoli, who celebrates Puglia's culinary heritage through ingredients grown onsite or locally.

Masseria Montenapoleone offers a plethora of on-site experiences, each designed to enhance the senses and deepen the connection to the beautiful land. Learn to make the local pastas, orecchiette and cavatelli, while tasting their olive oil during their onsite cooking classes. Enjoy wine and olive oil tastings accompanied by typical Pugliese aperitivo. Enjoy the day by having a picnic under the fig and olive trees. Or relax by the inviting pool, where you can unwind with a spritz and small bites. Wake up to a tranquil and delicious breakfast every morning with tons of selections of baked goods, fresh fruit, meats, cheeses, eggs and Italian coffee.

Cap off your trip with a sunset aperitivo in the vineyard, trying ten carefully crafted bites that Domenico puts together with love. If that isn’t magical enough, the staff makes delicious cocktails while playing classic Italian music.

Need to know

For those craving adventure, I recommend renting a car and exploring nearby towns such as Monopoli, Ostuni and Alberobello. There are also nearby beaches such as La Dolce Vita Beach. The location is perfect for those who are looking to escape the tourists and busy cities, but still want to explore top areas with ease.

The best part of being at Masseria Montenapoleone was exploring the grounds without a game plan. Take in the scenery of the ancient olive trees while you view the Adriatic Sea in the background. Wander through the farm with the goats, turkeys, chickens and lambs. Stroll through the different corners of the land, enjoying nature's gifts, including wild artichokes, diverse flowers and fruits blooming and the Masseria's residential cats.

The staff was also excellent and lively. I would return and stay at Masseria Montenapoleone in a heartbeat!
