Enchanting Umbria and Siena Adventure
Curator’s statement

In September of 2021, we celebrated our son's high school graduation and took a trip to Italy. We took a three-day break from Rome to visit the stunning Italian countryside. The region's beautiful churches, hidden gems and the iconic Piazza del Campo did not disappoint!

This journey was a unique blend of spiritual discovery, cultural immersion, and personal connections! Great for the solo traveler, couples or groups alike. It's an opportunity to witness the wonders of Assisi and the elegance of Siena through the eyes of a traveler who appreciates both the grandeur and intimate moments that make a trip truly special!

Set aside ample time in Assisi (more than just a few hours like we had), a town that captivates with its spiritual aura. Be prepared for the possible lines, but your reward is the awe-inspiring visit to the Basilicas of St. Francis and St. Clare and their tombs.

Enjoy the genuine warmth of the locals.

Ahhh, Siena, a city that exudes elegance. Visit the iconic Piazza del Campo, home to the exhilarating Palo di Siena, a must-see horse race, with an entry from each Sienese quarter, the Siena Contrade. Our hotel had unexpected rich history of being part of St. Catherine's Siena's home! Savor the exquisite cuisine from many restaurants just across the street; our favorite was Il Pomodorino. Experience the vibrant nightlife in Siena at San Paolo Pub, the only bar that has a balcony with a view of the Palo di Siena!

Enjoy the personal touch of local boutiques like Boutique Motivi, where we had the sweetest sales girl helping us!
