The resort's serene setting along the Colorado River, combined with its luxurious amenities and wide range of activities, makes it an exceptional getaway. I was particularly impressed by the warm and welcoming staff who ensured every detail of our stay was perfect. Getting There:
The resort is conveniently located about a 30-minute drive from Austin-Bergstrom International Airport (AUS) off Highway 71.
First Impressions:
Upon arrival, the resort's beautiful and expansive grounds immediately impressed me. The lush greenery, well-manicured lawns and stunning views of the Colorado River set the tone for a relaxing and enjoyable stay. The staff were welcoming and efficient, making check-in a breeze.

Accommodation:
We were so excited to be upgraded to a beautiful Junior Suite. The suite was spacious and elegantly decorated, equipped with an awesome balcony where we could look over the trees in the morning while drinking our coffee. It felt like being in a luxurious treehouse, adding a unique and serene touch to our stay. The room's blend of modern amenities and rustic charm made it incredibly comfortable, and the bathroom, with its deep soaking tub and separate shower, was truly luxurious.
Dining:
The resort offers several dining options, each providing a unique culinary experience. I particularly enjoyed dinner at Stories, the fine-dining restaurant on the property. The menu featured a variety of locally-sourced ingredients, and the dishes were expertly prepared and presented. Shellers Barrelhouse Bar was another favorite, offering a more casual atmosphere with delicious Texan comfort food and craft cocktails.
Activities:
Hyatt Regency Lost Pines offers a wide range of activities for guests of all ages. I took advantage of the hiking and biking trails, which provided stunning views of the surrounding nature. The on-site golf course was another highlight, offering a challenging yet enjoyable round of golf. The resort also features a lazy river, a water park and a variety of outdoor sports facilities.
Spa:
The Spa Django was a true sanctuary. You can enjoy a personalized massage that will leave you feeling rejuvenated and relaxed. The serene environment and skilled therapists make for a truly luxurious spa experience. The spa also offers a variety of treatments, from facials to body scrubs, catering to every guest's needs.

While the resort itself offers plenty to do, you can also explore the nearby McKinney Roughs Nature Park. This park is a great spot for hiking and bird-watching, with trails that cater to all levels of experience. For a taste of local culture, visit the charming town of Bastrop, known for its historic Main Street and friendly atmosphere.
