Ponant Cruise Experience Review: A Family-Friendly Mediterranean Adventure
Curator’s statement

Last July, my family and I embarked on an unforgettable eight-night Mediterranean voyage aboard the Le Lyrial with Ponant. Our journey was nothing short of extraordinary, especially as we traveled with our eight and 10-year-old kids. Our experience was so unique that we felt compelled to share it, particularly for families seeking a remarkable cruise experience.

Accommodation:

Our Deluxe Balcony staterooms (323 and 325) were not only spacious but also featured generous balconies. The thoughtful design allowed us to seamlessly connect our rooms by removing the balcony divider, enhancing our overall comfort during the trip.

Kids Club:

We were pleasantly surprised to find a kids club on board. While it may not offer the same amenities as larger cruise lines, our children were thoroughly entertained, and they rated it as the best kids club they've ever experienced.

Port Stops:

The smaller size of the ship enabled us to visit more intimate ports, leading to stress-free disembarkation and well-organized tours in small groups, providing a more personalized and enjoyable experience.

Food and Dining:

The culinary experience was delightful, with two restaurants offering ample seating. While we hoped for more variety in included house wines, the overall dining experience surpassed our expectations.

Pool Deck:

To our surprise, the pool deck was never overcrowded, allowing us to relax without any hassle, a departure from what we anticipated.

Service:

With only 122 passengers onboard, the attention and service were unmatched. Our tour manager, Nina, provided exceptional service, ensuring our excursions were tailored to our needs, including arranging an English-speaking guide on a French-exclusive excursion.

Need to know

I recommend Ponant for its family-friendly amenities, intimate port experience, culinary excellence, and exceptional service. These factors make Ponant an ideal choice for families seeking a personalized and enjoyable cruise experience.
