Booking the pre-cruise package at the Fairmont Waterfront proved to be an excellent decision. Although breakfast wasn't included in the package, the hotel features a superb restaurant and offers efficient room service. The breakfast via room service was especially notable for its generous kids' portions, making it a hit with families.

The hotel's luxurious amenities enhanced our stay. The toiletries, featuring the exquisite Labo Rose products, add a touch of indulgence to our daily routine. The room itself was immaculate and serene, boasting stunning views of Vancouver's vibrant waterfront. We particularly appreciated the in-room Nespresso machine and tea kettle, with the hotel's own brand of tea being a delightful highlight.

One of the standout features of the Fairmont Waterfront is its unbeatable location for cruise passengers. The convenience of simply walking across the street to the port cannot be overstated. Additionally, the hotel offers a hassle-free luggage service in collaboration with Princess Cruises. Around 8:30 am, your luggage is collected directly from your room, with detailed instructions provided upon check-in to guarantee a smooth process.

The hotel's prime location makes exploring Vancouver before embarkation easy. A short stroll takes you to the historic Gastown district, where you can browse quaint shops and witness the famous Gastown Steam Clock, adding a touch of local charm to your pre-cruise experience.

The staff at the Fairmont Waterfront were consistently lovely, providing attentive and friendly service throughout our stay. The policy of including porterage with no tipping required was a welcome touch, allowing us to relax and enjoy our stay without any additional concerns.

Need to know

In summary, the Fairmont Waterfront in Vancouver is an exceptional choice for those looking to start their cruise vacation in style. Its perfect location, luxurious amenities and outstanding service make it a top recommendation. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and look forward to returning on our next visit to Vancouver.
