Virgin Voyages Trip Report: Greek Island Glow

The Virgin Voyages Greek Isle Glow cruise was an unforgettable adventure. Unlike traditional cruises, this one catered to individual interests without sacrificing shared experiences. I was traveling with a friend who has a somewhat different travel taste to me, and we were both able to find our activities. If he felt like hitting the tables in the casino while I got my sweat on in the gym, it was easy to organize these separate activities then reunite for the incredible evening entertainment or dinner. The shows were mind-blowing — talented aerialists, powerhouse singers and hilarious adult-content shows.

Virgin Voyages also caters to our social side. The amazing group leader organized hilarious activities, from throwback 90s workouts to calming yoga sessions. Themed nights like pajama parties and the all-red "Scarlet Night" transformed the entire ship into a vibrant, interactive show. This cruise also prioritized a sustainable, high-quality dining experience. Instead of crowded buffets, we had a variety of phenomenal restaurants to explore. The Wake offered a classy steakhouse experience, Extra Virgin offered authentic Italian and Gunbae brought the excitement of Korean BBQ with drinking games — perfect for a fun night out with friends (we joined a table of strangers and now we call them friends). There were also late-night dining options like made-to-order pizza and all-night breakfast.

There were so many shore excursion options, but my favorite was wine tasting in Santorini. We took donkeys to the top, and this was a highlight of my trip. The knowledgeable staff made our experience even better. Whether we had questions about finding something on the ship, or the ports, someone was always able to help us. I highly recommend Virgin Voyages if you’re looking for a cruise with a great vibe and the best entertainment.

Virgin Voyages' Greek Island Glow cruise (from Piraeus (Athens) to Santorini, Rhodes, Bodrum (Turkey), and Mykonos) was a blast! The cruise catered to everyone, from gym rats to casino sharks (perfect for my friend and me with our opposite interests). Amazing shows with aerialists, singers and hilarious adult humor brought everyone together, while themed nights like pajama parties and "Scarlet Night" turned the ship into a giant party. The food was incredible too — phenomenal restaurants with made-to-order meals, not your typical cruise buffets. The knowledgeable staff and delicious late-night pizza made it even better. If you want a fun, entertaining cruise with extra touches of casual luxury, Virgin Voyages is an excellent option.
