Cork: A Vibrant Hub of Culture, History & Culinary Delights

Immerse yourself in the lively atmosphere of Cork, the second-largest city in Ireland, as you stroll through the bustling streets, where live music spills out from cozy pubs.

One of the highlights of Cork is the English Market, a historic indoor food market that dates back to 1788. Here, you can indulge in a true foodie's paradise, sampling artisanal cheeses, freshly baked breads and locally sourced meats and produce. Don't miss the opportunity to pick up a delicious focaccia loaf, olive spread and feta dip, and enjoy a picnic by the river, soaking in the city's vibrant energy.

For a memorable dining experience, head to Cask, a cozy gastropub that offers an impressive selection of craft beers and delectable dishes. We also ate at Cornstore Cork and enjoyed their espresso martinis and bone marrow. After dinner, explore the lively nightlife scene, where pubs like Oliver Plunkett and Dwyers of Cork offer live music and a lively atmosphere. We loved grabbing a glass of wine and non-alcoholic sodas at a super-cute wine bar called MacCurtain Wine Cellar. Fuel up with a late-night kebab from Istanbul Kebab. Other recommended bars are Reardens with its Secret Garden nightclub upstairs and O'Sullivans.

Kinsale: A Colorful Coastal Town with a Charming Vibe

Kinsale, a picturesque coastal town, exudes a unique charm that will captivate your heart. Stroll through the narrow streets lined with colorful buildings, each one more inviting than the last. The town's locals-only vibe adds to its allure, making you feel like you've stumbled upon a well-kept secret.

For a true taste of Kinsale's culinary delights, head to the Bulman Bar & Restaurant, where you can savor delicious fish and chips in a lively atmosphere. The White House Kinsale is another must-visit spot, offering live music and the perfect pint of Guinness. If you're a beer enthusiast, don't miss the opportunity to try the locally brewed Kinsale Pale Ale at Dinos, a cozy eatery serving up mouthwatering fish and chips.

In the mornings, treat yourself to a delightful start at O'Herlihys Kinsale | OHK Cafe, where you can indulge in vanilla and cardamom lattes and delectable breakfast fare. After fueling up, explore the charming shops and soak in the town's laidback vibe, where locals gather in the same pubs day after day, creating a sense of community that is truly special.

Accommodation & Activities

For where to stay in Cork, consider The Montenotte Hotel, The Hayfield Manor Hotel or the Castlemartyr Resort. In Kinsale, Long Quay House and Kinsale Hotel & Spa offer comfortable accommodations with a touch of local charm.

No visit to the region would be complete without a trip to the iconic Blarney Castle, where you can kiss the famous Blarney Stone and gain the gift of eloquence. For golf enthusiasts, the Old Head Golf Links offer a breathtaking golfing experience with stunning coastal views.

Whether you're seeking a culinary adventure, a cultural immersion or simply a chance to unwind in a charming setting, Cork and Kinsale promise an unforgettable Irish experience. Embrace the warmth of the locals, savor the flavors of the region and create memories that will last a lifetime.
