SeaDream Yacht Club Inside Scoop
Curator’s statement

My first voyage with SeaDream Yacht Club in February of 2023 certainly proved their motto, "It's yachting, not cruising". I was so impressed, I booked a Mediterranean voyage from Dubrovnik to Rome for July 2023 and even added a third voyage in the Bahamas in April 2023 for a birthday celebration!

SeaDream Yacht Club is a luxury yachting experience second to none. They have 2 yachts, SeaDream 1 and SeaDream 11, virtually the same. Each yacht accommodates 56 couples with 95 crew members, providing 5-star service. They operate in the Caribbean from November to April and then in the Mediterranean from May through November. The beauty of this experience is the service onboard. The staff is incredible, tending to your every need. The all-inclusive aspect includes gourmet dining, open bar, gratuities, water sports Marina (water slide and jet skis), fitness center and even mountain bikes at certain ports. The small boat allows for hidden coves and harbors to be explored. There is a casual elegance attitude on the yacht. No formal evenings and no planned activities, unless you care to make them yourself with the wonderful concierge ready to assist.

My personal favorites about the SeaDream experience are the Balinese Dream Beds allowing you to sleep under an infinite canopy of stars if you want. I also dream about my Thai massages at the incredible spa onboard. I have yet to find a spa anywhere that compares! Fun fact, it is the only Thai certified spa on the water.

Another unique experience offered on every Caribbean voyage is their signature Champagne & Caviar Splash party! They plan a beach BBQ on a private beach and the crew pop champagne in the crystal blue water and serve caviar on surfboards!

The accommodations are very comfortable with huge screen TV's and a sitting area. There are no balconies, yet a lot of outdoor spaces onboard. All the decks have the same rooms. The only difference is the port windows in the Deck 2 rooms. I personally prefer Deck 4 as it is near the spa/gym, and the piano bar and casino table which is a nightly favorite.

I would say the average age of the guests is between 50-70, with some exceptions. Children are not encouraged, yet allowed. There are no provisions for small children onboard.

If every trip I went on could be on a SeaDream Yacht, I would be thrilled. It is the opportunity to stay in a 5-star resort time and time again with a family of staff that remember you yet see a different destination every day. My kind of travel.

Need to know

SeaDream is not a "cruise" line. It is a boutique yachting experience mostly geared towards couples and families with adult children.
