Curator’s statement
As a social club member of The Global Ambassador — also called GA or The Global — I am in and out of the hotel doors almost daily. The hotel has views of the iconic Camelback Mountain while also feeling like it was dropped in straight out of a European city. I don't know how it manages to balance both, but it does. Founded by restaurateur Sam Fox this is first foray into the hotel space, and wow, what an entrance. Every restaurant is unique in its menu and experience, the spa has to now be the best in the Valley and the staff is off the charts.

While Sam Fox has for years owned and operated very successful multi-location restaurants, he debuted all new concepts at The Global. Thea, the mediterranean rooftop bar, boast the largest roofdeck and the best view of Camelback in Phoenix while having an incredible, "did I just pop into Beverly Hills?!" vibe on the weekends. Le Ame is a Parisian steakhouse with a classy, martini-sipping, oyster-eating vibe. The Lobby Bar has the best cheeseburger I've had in Phoenix and is also the best spot to people watch. Pink Dolphin is a playful poolside taco shop that makes you feel like you've bopped down to Cabo. The food and cocktails are at the heart of the hotel, but that doesn't mean there is a lack of attention to the other experiences throughout.
The spa has all the touches that make you say "I have to go back" — between the warm neck wrap and spa chairs with a view to the turmeric shot after your incredible treatment. It's a must. With a spa treatment you can also use the steam room, cold plunge and hot tub in a quiet spa setting. And if you're staying at the hotel, please make good use of the fitness classes. I'm addicted. I go every day — hit me up! The spa products are all swoon-worthy (Oribe, Augustinus Bader, etc.). The expertly curated gift shop sells Aviator Nation sets (coveted Global Ambassador branded versions!), poolwear and resort-living items.
Every room at The Global has been thoughtfully curated by Sam himself. I once heard him talking about the placement of the A/C vents to ensure cold air wouldn't blow directly on guests' faces in their beds. And knowing Sam, I know he picked everything himself or at least had a very heavy hand in the choices — that's why he's successful. He's got the Midas touch for sure. Room sizes vary — you can really get whatever type of room you want and go real luxe with a dreamy bathtub if that's the vibe you're going for. It would be an incredible spot to host a special event or wedding.
The pool is a playful, pink-umbrella-vibed spot to grab a cabana and escape the heat. And an easy excuse to grab a margarita from Pink Dolphin.
It's escapism at it's best. Make it a daycation if you live here, but do stay the night so you can get the full experience. Out-of-towners, this is the spot in Phoenix/Scottsdale now — there's nowhere else you should stay. Grab a morning coffee and catch up on work, hit a fitness class and then grab lunch at Pink Dolphin. Head to a relaxing spa treatment and then chill there before dinner at Thea.
Need to know
I recommend The Global Ambassador for couples or girls/bros trips to Phoenix. In close proximity to all that Scottsdale offers, near — or housing — all the best restaurants and a quick Uber from the airport, it;s the perfect, sexy, see-and-be-seen getaway. There is so much to do at the hotel, I'd almost suggest never leaving. There isn't much I don't know about The Global or the neighborhood it's in (it's mine!), so reach out if you're interested in staying there.
