21c Museum Hotel Chicago: A Cultural Oasis in the Windy City
Curator’s statement

In October 2023, I had a weekend trip to Chicago and stayed in style at the chic 21C Museum Hotel. The art museum feel engulfs you as you enter the hotel, and it was almost too exciting to look around before checking in. The staff were friendly & the location was amazing. I would stay here again and highly recommend it to my clients.

The 21c Museum Hotel Chicago is a unique hotel that combines luxury accommodations with a vibrant contemporary art museum. Located in the heart of downtown Chicago, the hotel is just steps away from some of the city's most popular attractions, including Navy Pier, Millennium Park, the Magnificent Mile, and the Museum of Contemporary Art.

The hotel's art museum features a rotating collection of exhibitions by emerging and established artists from around the world. Guests can enjoy the museum at no additional charge, and the hotel also offers a variety of public programs and events related to the exhibitions. We happened to be there on Chicago's Gallery Weekend and were given a map of other galleries downtown and were invited to a free party to celebrate art in the city.

In addition to its museum, the 21c Museum Hotel Chicago also features a variety of other amenities, including a full-service spa, a fitness center, and a restaurant, Lure Fishbar. The restaurant offers a menu of seafood-inspired dishes and an extensive wine list.

The hotel's guest rooms are spacious and stylish, with modern furnishings and original artwork. All rooms feature flat-screen TVs, complimentary Wi-Fi, and minifridges. Some rooms also offer balconies with city views. We had an internal courtyard view, where we were delightfully surprised to see a projection of some playful seals on the plain white wall at night.

The 21c Museum Hotel Chicago is a perfect choice for travelers who are looking for a unique and cultural experience. The hotel's combination of art, luxury, and convenience makes it an ideal place to stay while exploring the Windy City.
