We had an amazing and relaxing getaway in Todos Santos, Mexico, staying at the beautiful Hotel San Cristóbal. This adults-only boutique hotel was the perfect oasis for our trip. We booked a Poolside King room, which opened right up to the stunning infinity pool and had beautiful views of the ocean. The hotel's restaurant, Benno, was a highlight — we enjoyed breakfast there daily and loved the fresh, local Mexican and Mediterranean flavors. The restaurant is open to hotel guests and the public for all meals.
The hotel staff were very accommodating and helped arrange taxis into the town of Todos Santos, just an 8-minute drive away. We spent our days exploring the charming town, walking along the beach and watching the local fishermen. The sunsets at the beach were stunning. Back at the hotel, we loved sipping mezcal cocktails poolside and enjoying the quiet, relaxing vibe. The property itself is gorgeous, right on the beach.
Overall, Hotel San Cristóbal exceeded our expectations. It's a design lover's dream with its stylish decor, infinity pools and beachfront location. It's the perfect peaceful retreat with great food and drinks. I'd highly recommend it for anyone looking for a relaxing beach getaway for two in Baja!
Todos Santos offers a variety of tasty dining options, from casual taco joints to upscale beach clubs. For excellent tacos, try Santos Pecados Todos Santos. Enjoy rooftop drinks at the Guaycura Boutique Hotel Beach Club & Spa. Get a day pass to the beach club at El Faro Beach for a relaxing beach day. Take a scenic hike at Punta Lobos. Dine on the beach at The Green Room. Grab casual and authentic fish tacos at Fish Taco Santo Chilote. See the cute cacti garden while dining at Los Adobes De Todos Santos. Fuel up with the budget breakfast buffet at Restaurante La Generala for only $7. Indulge in delicious pastries like the guava pastry at La Panadería bakery. We didn't make it to Jazamango but heard great things. With tasty tacos, beach clubs, hikes, and pastries, Todos Santos offers delightful dining experiences.
We also visited San Jose del Cabo on this trip and stayed at the trendy Hotel El Ganzo for a few nights. Hotel El Ganzo's rooftop pool was definitely a highlight of our trip. It offered incredible views and was the ideal spot for relaxing in the sunshine. The pool itself was beautifully designed and perfect for capturing those Instagram-worthy vacation photos! Our room also had a lovely view of the bay. The service at El Ganzo was excellent. All the staff members we interacted with were friendly and attentive. The lobby had a very cool, cacti-contemporary design that set the tone for the rest of the hotel's stylish aesthetic. The location was convenient for exploring the San José del Cabo area. It was an easy drive to visit Flora Farms and Acre. The fresh seafood and ocean views were incredible. Overall, we loved staying at Hotel El Ganzo in San José del Cabo. From the cool rooftop pool to the great service and location, it made for a wonderful getaway. We would happily stay there again on a future trip!
San Jose del Cabo offers a variety of delicious dining options, from beachside seafood to authentic Mexican tacos. Start your day at a local taqueria like Taqueria El Fogon for no-frills, tasty tacos. Head to La Lupita Taco & Mezcal in the evening for mezcal tastings and upscale tacos (this was a favorite of ours; don't miss it). Love the insane carrot margarita at the farm-to-table restaurant Flora Farms (a Cabo staple). Have dinner at Acre Resort's restaurant, where you must try the cheddar biscuits. Acre Resort is a stunning property featuring a small farm, animal rescue and serene landscaping. The resort is absolutely gorgeous and a perfect place to enjoy a peaceful meal. For a romantic, cliffside dinner, check out El Farallon for fresh seafood and ocean views. End your night back at the hotel with mezcal cocktails and live music on the rooftop pool deck at Hotel El Ganzo. Renting a boat and seeing Cabo from the water is also highly recommended. With farm-fresh ingredients, ocean views, and authentic Baja flavors, San Jose del Cabo is a foodie paradise. Contact me for my Google Maps list of these places and more details on the trip.
