Curator’s statement

If you need a much needed break filled with fresh air, great food and wellness...but don't feel like hopping on a plane, look no further than Wildflower Farms. Opened in 2022 this property has individual cabins with radiant heated floors. During my stay I experienced nothing but friendly service from all the staff and spa staff members. They also offer a variety of activities to enjoy while you are staying there.

CHECKIN-GREATPORCH - Dana Evans

Checking in to Wildflower Farms was seamless. As you pull up you see the beautiful view of their property and Shawangunk Ridge, along with the impressive great porch firepit that runs most of the day and night.

The bower cabins were cozy and comfortable in design. I loved waking up staring into the forest with nothing disturbing us, and hearing the local stream off our balcony. Every night they left a new treat for us to try during turn down service with a note about what it was. If its chilly or you don't feel like walking to the main house, simply call the front desk and they will pick you up in a small off road vehicle.

YOGA VIEW through a window looking out on a field on a rainy day.
BOWER CABIN BATH a serene setting with a sink, marble counter top, rug, mirror and soft lighting.

Clay offers breakfast, lunch and dinner with something for everyone to enjoy. I loved how they incorporated their own produce into the menu.

As this property has developed over time they have added a wide variety of activities to enjoy. Some are complimentary while others may charge a fee. A few of my favorite things we did was feed the chickens in the morning. We got to take fresh eggs with us to Clay where they prepared them to our liking, and also saved some to bring home. There are three flat hiking trails on the property to enjoy. Just make sure you check with the staff if there has been rainfall. If so the trails can get quite muddy and difficult to walk in with the wrong footwear. Their yoga was also lovely. Its in its own peaceful building on the property with floor to ceiling windows. As you take your class you get to enjoy the views of the wilderness. Since I visited Wildflower farms in the winter I did not get to enjoy the outdoor pool. But in the warmer months I'm sure it would be wonderful.

Their spa offers an indoor pool, outdoor hot tub, sauna and steam rooms. I had a massage which was relaxing in a pretty space.

The Hudson Whisky distillery is walkable from the property. There is a short trail you can cut through, or you can also walk along the main road. We did a tour of the distillery, followed by a tasting.
