Location

Albergo Terminus is situated in the vibrant heart of Como city, right next to the VISTA Palazzo, with both hotels being part of the Lario Hotels group. Positioned on the lively Piazza Cavour, the area around Albergo Terminus is a bustling hub of activity, featuring an array of delightful restaurants and cafes. Additionally, it boasts a picturesque lakeside location.

Rooms

50 rooms on four floors.

Hotel’s layout

The 50 rooms of the palazzo are all conveniently housed within the same building. An underground garage is available for parking. At the entrance, guests are welcomed by a charming reception area flanked by two reading rooms that offer an antique ambiance. Additionally, the palazzo features a restaurant that also functions as a bar.

Food

Bar delle Terme: the menu is traditional Italian. Breakfast is served here, too.

Wellness

Sauna on the ground floor. You could order massages or beauty treatments in your room anyway.

Sport

Any gym is available.

Pros

The hotel has this historic and classic vibe, which throws you back to the first years of 1900.

There’s an attic on the top floor, with a great terrace, which you can rent all by yourself.

The location is golden because you’re right in Como city center.

They have a sauna on the ground floor and some other beauty treatments could be booked at reception and used in your private rooms.

Cons

Don’t expect to find a spa or a gym or any other facility that needs big spaces. Terminus is a city hotel, located in the very city center of a historic Italian city where spaces are small and where it’s impossible to find those facilities. It’s not necessarily a con, but be aware of that!

The vibe is very vintage, so go there if you like that vibe. Do not expect to find a modern place with modern comforts and architecture.

Need to know

Albergo Terminus boasts picturesque interiors that date back to 1900, characterized by a classic style and ambiance. Make sure this traditional vibe appeals to you. I was particularly impressed with the reading rooms, which are both cozy and exceptionally beautiful.
