Multigenerational Trip to Disney's Art of Animation
Curator’s statement

In May of 2024, I took my kids on their first trip to Disney. Our travel group included myself, my husband, our two sons (ages five and two), my mother-in-law, my parents, my sister and my brother (both single adults). We had two Cars suites at the Art of Animation Resort for seven nights with five-day park tickets and Memory Maker. I would absolutely recommend staying here with your kids. I can’t wait to plan another trip back here!

Although I have been to Disney many times, this was my first time as a mom, and my first time at Art of Animation (or anywhere on the Skyliner). Everyone in our travel group absolutely loved this resort and the suites were amazing. Each suite sleeps six with a separate main bedroom and two full bathrooms. There was plenty of room in the main suite for our two-year-old’s pack-n-play.

We ate at Landscape of Flavors the first day for lunch and got a pizza for our family. If you want more than one piece, it’s worth getting a whole one. We all loved the pizza, but my husband especially liked it! We also ate at Landscape of Flavors the last morning and loved the Cars waffles! Mobile ordering was super easy and convenient.

Being on the Skyliner was awesome! Getting to and from dinner at Sebastian’s (Caribbean Beach Resort), character breakfast at Topolino’s (Riviera) and EPCOT and Hollywood Studios was so much more fun than taking a bus!

You could stay at this resort without even going to the parks and have an amazing time with your kids. I honestly wish we had stayed one more day and done an additional rest day to spend more time at the resort. We didn’t even make it to the third pool! We only swam at the Big Blue Pool and the Cozy Cone Pool. They were both awesome!

We also did laundry about every other day, which was conveniently located outside our Cars building beside the Cozy Cone Pool. It’s $7.00/load ($3.50 to wash and $3.50 to dry). Expensive but worth it for me not to have to come home with a bunch of dirty laundry!

There is an arcade which would be a great rainy day activity but we didn’t even make it there. We were either at the parks, at the pools or sleeping. I can’t wait to plan another trip back here!

Need to know

I highly recommend Disney's Art of Animation Suites for families of more than four, or those who want the privacy of a separate bedroom. The theming at this resort is larger than life and fun for kids of all ages.
