The Azamara Pursuit itinerary included 16 nights from Auckland, NZ to Sydney, Australia.
The city of Auckland is based around two large harbors. In the center, the iconic Sky Tower offers unbelievable views of the Viaduct Harbor which is full of super yachts, and an entertainment area filled with bars and restaurants. The city is known as the “city of sails”and is one of New Zealand’s most striking cities.Not only does it have a magnificent skyline, it is also the home to many beautiful beaches!
We stayed at the M Social which is based in the Viaduct area and immediately across from the cruise terminals. Great location, great experience!

The cruise itself was more exciting and beautiful than imagined. The ports we visited were each different. Two of these were Picton and Hobart, Tasmania. In Picton, we were able to enjoy the fabulous wines of Marlborough, for which NZ is known. Hobart included a visit to an amazing wildlife Sanctuary called Bonorong. We were able to feed kangaroos, view a Tasmanian devil, wombats, emus, and more. This is an experience not to be missed!
Sydney is among the most beautiful cities in the world! A walk on the Circular Quay provides glimpses of the skyline, beautiful gardens and the iconic Opera House! Our hotel, the Shangri-La, was situated blocks away and offered a stunning view of the Harbor Bridge and the Opera House as well as the harbor. The property is lovely, the staff are warm and helpful and the location cannot be beat.

Need to know
Azamara provides all the comforts of a luxury or premium cruise line. If you are a person that requires more space, I recommend a Club Continent Suite. It is extremely comfortable and provides a large room and bathroom. The specialty dining restaurants are extra, but well worth the expense for the experience.
