We had an absolutely amazing stay in July 2024 at Thompson Central Park New York. From the moment we arrived, we were impressed by the sleek, modern design and the warm, welcoming staff. The location is unbeatable — right near Carnegie Hall and Central Park, which makes for some beautiful afternoon walks, and it’s close to some of the best dining, shopping and entertainment venues in the city.

We stayed in an Upper Stories 1 King High Floor Central Park View room, which gave us access to the Upper Stories Lounge. The Upper Stories has its own check-in desk situated near the Upper Stories Lounge. Our room was spacious, stylish and impeccably clean, with all the luxury amenities we could possibly need including a Dyson Supersonic Hair Dryer, Nespresso machine and plush robes and slippers. The bed was incredibly comfortable and the view from the window, overlooking Central Park, was just breathtaking. I loved the attention to detail in every corner of the hotel, from the chic lobby to Parker's atrium seating.

The hotel’s restaurant, Parker’s, was a standout as well — delicious food, with a vibrant atmosphere that made it a perfect spot to relax after a day of exploring the city. We did enjoy dinner and cocktails at Parker’s on the night of our arrival to take advantage of our $100 hotel credit perk as well as brunch one late morning. We also stopped in for cocktails on our way back from a concert. I had a Parker's Cosmopolitan, of course, and it was the perfect way to end our NYC day of adventure! The Upper Stories lounge was convenient for a quick breakfast and snacks throughout the day. The lounge's espresso machine and selection of teas were superb and we enjoyed complimentary hors d'oeuvres, wine and beer before dinner most evenings.
Overall, my experience was top-notch. Whether you’re in NYC for business or pleasure, Thompson Central Park offers the perfect combination of luxury, comfort and an unbeatable location. We will definitely be coming back!
