Palm Springs Girls Weekend: Drift Hotel

Our accommodation at Drift Hotel exceeded all expectations. The two-bedroom suite we chose (they offer one, two, three and four-bedroom options), was a pinnacle of contemporary, almost minimalist Japanese design, boasted spacious living areas adorned with clean lines and sleek furnishings. The neutral color palette, punctuated by subtle pops of color and playful textures, felt truly spa-like. They offer keyless/contactless check in, so prior to arrival we were sent a text message with our room number and entrance code which allowed us to park and get settled straight away.

Being in our 30s now, having multiple bedrooms and bathrooms and more of an apartment style stay felt home-y and luxurious at the same time. With a fully equipped kitchen and stylish living room, our suite provided the perfect setting for leisurely gatherings and intimate moments shared among friends (think, pre-dinner dance parties and mocktails with their full provided cocktail set). Drift also fully stocks the fridge and pantry to waters, soda, beer, high quality alcohol and snacks. They also offer free yoga classes on Saturday mornings (must reserve a mat prior!) as well as happy hours and meditation. Our days were spent thrifting at BAZAR, an authentic thrift store owned by two fabulous sisters, and using the free hotel bikes to hit Cafe La Jefa for their signature mushroom cappuccino and pastries.

The pool at Drift was also a dream, perfectly heated with open loungers and cabanas. The hotel restaurant also looked incredible and offered 10 percent off for guests, but we opted for our local favorite Tac/quila. Once back at drift, the beds and linens gave us some of the best nights sleep we've had away from home! Truly every aspect of our stay exceeded our expectations, leaving us with cherished memories and a commitment to return to Drift next year.
