Curator’s statement
I stayed at The Esmé in October of 2024. From the moment the doors were opened for me, I knew this property was special. My site inspection and stay only validated this. A Michelin star property that boasts "Boutique Luxury" with beautiful Spanish - Mediterranean architecture and an ambiance that mimics the beautiful back streets of Europe.

I have been wanting to stay at The Esmé for a couple of years. This October, I finally got the opportunity. I fell in love with the property the moment I saw the pictures on the website, and I understand that sometimes those can be misleading. It is definitely not the case with The Esmé. A Michelin Star property that is so well-deserved. From the staff to the decor and architecture, the onsite cocktail lounge, Bamboo Room and Sushi Bar, the intimate 12-seat sushi restaurants that serves an incredible 17-course meal, you feel nothing but warmth and an incredible sense that you have been tucked into a little corner of splendidness.
Somewhat unconventional for a boutique property, The Esmé Village is made up of eight separate buildings, housing 145 rooms, including four suites. You can choose from king, queen or double rooms, some with Juliette Balconies overlooking Española Way. Connecting rooms are also available. The four suites, Española, Louise, Matanza, Capone (can you guess who had a hideout in this building?) are all housed at the back of the Village, but only steps away from all the amenities in Casa Mantanza. The rooms are dressed in pink and green gem-hued colors, with the perfect addition of bold patterned wallpaper in the hallways and whimsical decor. The beds are comfortable. The rooms are spacious and the bathrooms are stunning, with pink or green tiled walls and brushed brass hardware.
Now, for the crowning jewel, the rooftop pool. While the pool itself is small, the pool deck and The Roof boast so much character. From the bed loungers with decorative pillows, to the stunning sage green tiles, the large seating area with couches and chairs, awnings that can be open or retracted per your preference — and The Roof, which is a restaurant and a bar that will serve you poolside as you stretch out and soak up the Miami sunshine. They also host Pilates classes, photo shoots and a happy hour every day from 4 – 6pm.
The location cannot be beat, butted up against Española Way, you are steps away from amazing restaurants, bars and shops. A five-minute walk to the beach, where you get two beach chairs and two towels included in your amenity fee, also using the property's bicycles.
I loved my stay at The Esmé so much, I cannot wait to book this property for my clients. This boutique hotel is not to be missed, whether you're in Miami for a vacation, staying the weekend or even if you are sailing on the cruise from the port. This Luxury Boutique property, at an unbelievable price point, is a stop you must make, and definitely won't regret.
Need to know
This property would make for an incredible girls trip. A weekend away, a staycation if you're local, even a solo trip to pamper yourself a little. It is the perfect escape. Even in the middle of Miami Beach, you can feel like you're a world away.
