A stay steeped in history
One of the most fascinating aspects of Hotel Brunelleschi is its rich history. The hotel is built around the medieval Torre della Pagliazza, a Byzantine tower that dates back to the 6th century, making it one of the oldest structures in Florence. Beneath the hotel, guests are invited to explore a private museum, showcasing ancient artifacts and remnants of the building’s storied past. Additionally, parts of the hotel incorporate elements of an ancient church, adding to the sense of timeless elegance. Staying here is like stepping into a living piece of Florentine history, offering an experience that few hotels can match.

What truly sets Hotel Brunelleschi apart is the impeccable service, with staff who go above and beyond to make your stay memorable. A standout among them is Paulus, the suites attendant, who ensures that every guest's needs are met with a personal touch. For those who appreciate fine dining and crafted cocktails, Hotel Brunelleschi is a gastronomic gem. The bar on the main floor offers some of the best craft cocktails in Italy, with expert mixologists creating inventive and perfectly balanced drinks. Each cocktail is served with a complimentary antipasto selection, which is nothing short of indulgent — think pate’, cured meats and gourmet bites that elevate the experience. Need to know
I wouldn’t try to navigate a car into the city and particularly this hotel, as the streets are very narrow and you can’t get much closer to the Duomo. Abandon the car and the stress, and instead take a cab or the tram into the city center. If a car is needed at the beginning or end of your trip, reserve one near the train station where several auto suppliers reside.
