Curator’s statement
Over Thanksgiving I had the pleasure of staying at The Montage at Palmetto Bluff with my family. The grounds are so gorgeous and family friendly. I would highly recommend this property to anyone.

Location
The resort is located in the South Carolina low-country where fresh water meets the ocean. This area is filled with tons of wildlife and natural beauty. You will see tons of birds, alligators in the fresh water and dolphins jumping in the ocean.
The resort is an easy drive from Atlanta, which is where I was coming from. With Savannah airport close by (about an hour), it is accessible to many travelers and a favorite of those from the northeast.
Activities
There are so many activities on the property you will never be bored, even if you want to be. You can enjoy the art of doing nothing in what southerns call "porching". Salt water fishing charters, dolphin tours and kayak tours are available. The resort has complimentary bikes to explore the extensive grounds - this is my favorite way to get around. Golf, tennis and, of course, pickle ball are huge at The Bluff. When I was there, I joined a group lesson and it was so much fun.
Kids
My kids loved the wide open spaces with lots of freedom to roam. The resort is gated and huge, so my kids enjoyed some freedom to explore. There are also several tree houses scattered throughout the property, which they loved exploring. There are three outdoor pools on property, which kids can enjoy two of them - one is adult only and connects to the spa area. We were able to enjoy them in November!
Dinning
We partook in the Thanksgiving Buffett during our stay and it did not disappoint. The Riverhouse is the most formal dining option and their steaks are delish. Don't miss Hush, the speakeasy below the Riverhouse with some of the best and most unique cocktails I have had. You can also visit the town of Bluffton for more dining options, but we didn't want to leave the grounds - maybe next time.
Spa
The Spa is great, too. I was able to get a message during my stay.
Weddings
The setting is a magical location for weddings, big or small. Fun Fact, Justin Beiber and Hailey Beiber got married here!
Need to know
Palmetto Bluff is great for so many different guests, families and multi-gen, romantic couples getaways, honeymoons and girls trips. Or get married under the spanish moss trees. The staff is so amazing here and always try to upgrade our Fora clients. Reach out to me if you have any questions or to plan your stay.
