Sitting at the center of La Croisette, the Carlton Cannes is a destination for luxury and relaxation in the heart of a vibrant city. In August 2024, I had the opportunity to tour the Carlton Cannes during my stay in Southern France. The entire property was fully renovated and reopened in 2023. The enhancements are spectacular and are tailored to the needs of the guests.

The Carlton Cannes is an iconic hotel in the Côte d'Azur. It is rich with history and has a luxe ambiance, aligned with the local glamor of events such as the Cannes Film Festival. This already magnificent hotel now captures modernized accommodations, amenities and decor after its 2023 renovation.

The Carlton Cannes features 332 rooms and suites, as well as 37 residences. The rooms and suites range from garden view, city view and sea view, and the residences offer garden or city views.They are all finished with immaculate touches, such as soap customized with a scent inspired by roses and the hotel’s opening in 1913. The residences are luxury apartments ranging from 1 to 4 bedrooms. They are perfect for families or large groups, and guests will enjoy exclusive services, such as a private chef.

Outside, you’ll find an expansive garden leading to an elevated pool. In Cannes, many hotels do not offer a pool because the beach is so popular. This is a nice alternative with the option of enjoying a pool day. There are four onsite dining options: Riviera Restaurant, which overlooks La Croisette. Ruya has Mediterranean cuisine. Bar 58 is perfect for cocktails and Camelia Tea Lounge is ideal for an afternoon break. Additionally, the hotel features the popular Carlton Beach Club. This picturesque beach setting offers a restaurant for lunch, or sun beds to lounge by the water. It’s exclusive to hotel guests only during the busy months of July and August. The hotel also offers a Le C Club spa, as well as fitness center, including a full-size boxing ring, private training options, classes and more.
Cannes
La Croisette (the main boulevard in Cannes) was built around the Carlton Cannes after it opened in 1913. This means that guests are steps away from the best restaurants, shops, beaches and cultural sites. Cannes is a vibrant city perfect for travelers who like to both relax all day by the beach, or take in the best cuisine and nightlife. As part of the Côte d'Azur, Cannes is nearby to St. Tropez, Antibes, Nice, Monte Carlo, Eze and beyond, making it an ideal location if looking to explore Southern France.
