Curator’s statement
I had the privilege of living in Aspen. While there, I had the opportunity to stay at or visit all the beautiful collection of hotels Aspen has to offer. I confidently can state that the St. Regis is the cream of the crop. From impeccable service, to different room categories, to the only true full spa in town, in addition to the hotels Bernese mountain dog…This Resort has it all.

Maybe I’m just a sucker for Bloody Marys, and the St. Regis Aspen Resort captured my heart when they told me at check-in that they served daily complimentary ones in the lobby bar every morning. Maybe it was the unobstructed view of Aspen mountain that really caught my eye. Or maybe it was the option for a full steam, jacuzzi and massage treatment offered by their newly renovated spa, at any time of day, that truly melted my heart.
It should be no surprise that mountain luxury at its finest is found at the St. Regis Aspen Resort. You will be welcomed by handsome bellmen with genuine smiles when you step into a broad, yet cozy, lobby living room. A fireplace that immediately warms the soul and the staff that immediately brightens your day. There is a collection of couches and chairs organically huddled all around the main source of warmth and meeting place. I found myself wanting to spend my downtime here, comfortable, with a menu that hit every craving from cocktail, wine, food and desserts. (Get the 3 cookies and thank me later.)
The ease of this location is unparalleled and you absolutely don't need a vehicle when you’re visiting here. (Plus they have a nice shuttle van that picks up and drops off guests at the airport every thirty minutes.) The resort is a mere three-minute walk to the gondola of Aspen Mountain, a one-minute walk to the bus station that has transportation to the other three ski mountains, and a no-minute walk to be smack-dab in the middle of town.
In the winter, The Snow Lodge takes over the Chefs Club, and there’s famous live entertainment almost every weekend. This also brings the elite and beautiful, which makes for fabulous people-watching from the lobby bar. Another perk of coming for the ski season is that they offer s'mores daily in their beautiful courtyard right when you’re getting off the mountain, and are hunting for a snack. If you visit in the beginning of December, you can also admire the tree light ceremony. (They bring in a HUGE Christmas tree for the courtyard.) The resort as a whole is extremely decked out for the holidays, and they made one of the largest gingerbread houses I have ever seen. It's really great if you’re thinking of coming for a family trip.
Need to know
Aspen is known for two seasons - winter and summer. If you’re a hiker, biker or sunshine adventure client, summer is calling your name. If you want to ski some of the softest powder in Colorado, well, winter is coming. The great thing about Aspen is its truly wonderful and a hot-spot for over half of the year. There is no wrong choice here. Especially if you’re returning to the comfort of the St. Regis Aspen Resort after your adventurous outing - from shopping to the slopes. This town has something for everyone.
