Curator’s statement
I had the pleasure of staying at Sea Island Resort in August 2024. The property is beautifully maintained and lives up to its five-star standard. Service was pleasant and accommodating. The sleeping rooms were lovely and the meeting space was ample for groups. I would highly recommend this property to groups, families or solo travelers.

Sea Island is located on the Atlantic Ocean, comprised of three separate properties: The Cloisters, The Beach Club and The Lodge. In total, guest rooms add up to 250. The Cloister and Beach Club are just a short stroll apart, through a beautiful moss-covered tree canopy-lined side walk. The Lodge is a short drive away. Sea Island also has private residences available for rent, which are not to be missed when considering group business or large family travel.
With 15 different dining venues, options are abundant. I would be remiss if not to mention golf: in order of most popular, the courses are as follows: Seaside, Plantation and Retreat. For families, the array of pool options keeps the rotation fresh, while the kids' programs are strong. Fishing, falconry and a shooting school are some other noteworthy activities to partake in. The hotel has its own boat to take you along the marsh waterways in search of dolphins, sharks and local birds.
Overall, I would not hesitate to suggest this property to groups (be them corporate or family), or individuals (be them families or couples). There is something for everyone here. The properties themselves are well-maintained and service is a priority.
Need to know
This property should be considered for groups, businesses, families or couples. There is really something for everyone here and the location is beautiful, right on the ocean! If I were to offer one slight downside to keep in mind...it would be access to this property is not direct. Flights into either Savannah or Jacksonville, with an hour drive in to property.
