Curator’s statement
I just returned from the most magical trip to Sedona. Winter visits are just underrated in my opinion. The weather was crisp but sunny most of the time and then we woke up to snow, which was absolutely stunning on the rock formations and so lovely to hike/walk in. Besides excellent hotel rates, I would emphasize to guests how thin/non-existent the crowds are this time of year. The hikes are far more enjoyable without the droves of tourists.

Enchantment Resort
Enchantment truly is in such a special location, tucked far into Boynton Canyon, literally surrounded by incredible views and hiking trails. Everything is at your fingertips. Despite my best efforts, they would not grant anyone a sneak peek to Mii Amo's facelift.
The service was all around stellar and almost every employee I met seemed truly happy to be working there, which just adds a little something to the vibe of your whole trip. I was with five friends and we all received amazing spa treatments. The therapists live up to the hype. The suites they are using during the renovation are lovely.
The casitas were lovely with pretty classic contemporary southwest decor. The larger suites appeared to have some more modern touches expansive decks and private covered parking. Golf cart service is prompt and available 24 hrs a day to get around.
Both Tii Gavo and Che Ah Chi were delicious and unique with excellent service. There's a cute market on site for on the go purchases as well. For someone looking to truly unwind you could be perfectly happy never leaving the property/canyon.
Side note, I had considered the Amara as well and briefly popped by that property on my way out. It's lovely, but in an entirely different category from Enchantment in my opinion. The proximity of Amara to the hectic "tourist trap" shopping area was something I didn't fully appreciate when looking at the maps. It would have changed the experience for sure. Budget is obviously a consideration, but another benefit of off season, winter rates at Enchantment were close to the in-town options! The photo below is of Mii Amo/Enchantment from the Boynton Vortex site.
Mii Amo
As you may know, Mii Amo just reopened February 2nd after a two-year long renovation and expansion. More than just a top notch spa, Mii Amo has its own accommodations for guests looking for a truly immersive wellness experience. The expansion added seven new rooms, bringing the total to 23. The focus of Mii Amo is collaborating with guests to create a specific journey tailored to their goals and needs. One can select 3, 4, 7 or 10 days for their journey and within 72 hours of booking a guide will call the client to custom design their journey. The Mii Amo journey stays are all-inclusive, with a credit of essentially $600 per day to use on treatments or other wellness sessions. With the reopening, they've just rolled out a new introductory option called a Touch of Mii Amo which offers $300 credit per day. A great opportunity for those looking to mix in more independent activities or try the program for the first time. One important thing to note about the remodel is that while Mii Amo is open to Enchantment guests as well, they've now added spaces that are exclusive to Mii Amo journey guests. This provides a bit more optional separation between a client who wants a health-focused quiet retreat and say a girls getaway group staying at Enchantment catching up over wine after their spa treatments. Mii Amo offers a full spectrum on their menu, from fresh juices to an impressive wine list.
Enchantment is luxurious without being at all pretentious, and aims to be adventure and family friendly. The Trail House on site is an amazing resource for hiking and mountain biking and recently added their own Grand Canyon tour. This tour is private, customizable and lead by Enchantment's own staff. They also recently added rock climbing to the menu, which is about a 45 minute drive. Transportation is provided by Enchantment, and they've partnered with local experts to facilitate the climbing.
Given their family focus, I asked about the top picks for maximum value and space for families. Their entry level Casita as one of the best options. I stayed in a double queen casita and it was truly lovely, with views, a small patio and double-sinks. Their Junior Suite is great for families with older kids as it includes a spacious seating area and fireplace. Adjoining Casitas are available as well. The one and two bedroom Casa's include full kitchens, 1-3 beautiful decks and private parking. Enchantment offers a year round kids club - Camp Coyote, with full and half day options or a la carte activities all by reservation.
There are current summer promotions in store!
