Curator’s statement
For me, a well-rounded vacation takes the cultural richness of a bustling capital city and combines it with the idyllic beauty and tranquility of the countryside. Visiting Oxfordshire from London offers a delightful and refreshing change of pace. While there is no shortage of quaint villages and charming accommodations in the UK, there is a new contender on the scene. Estelle Manor is a grand, welcoming estate, just about an hour by train from London’s Paddington station.

Estelle Manor is a Grade II-listed Landmark House, which means the building is special both architecturally and historically. Most importantly, it’s protected for future generations. When hospitality giant Ennismore acquired the Neo-Jacobean mansion known as Eynsham Hall, founder Sharan Pasricha envisioned an “unstuffy and fun community” that values outstanding service and discretion. With his partner, Eiesha Pasricha, as artistic director of the brand, they've created a gorgeous destination that caters to every traveler.
Rooms and Suites
At the time of writing, Estelle Manor offers 108 rooms across the estate. From bedrooms to cottages and houses, each option combines vintage pieces with textured furnishings in the most magical light.
You can stay in the Manor House itself, with my favorite rooms being any of the gorgeous suites.
I’m partial to the Walled Garden Cottages. It truly felt like coming home in the evening. Equal parts spacious and cozy, with a separate sitting area and wood burner.
For groups, the cottages and houses provide between three and six bedrooms. They’re stunning, warm spaces perfect for entertaining.
For families looking to combine rooms, there are several options across the property, depending on your preferences.
Dining
As of March 2024, Estelle Manor has three great restaurants and a lovely bar with a small menu for bites.
The Brasserie is a lively spot all day, serving breakfast, lunch and dinner with a menu full of seasonal favorites.
The Billiards Room is a traditional Chinese restaurant. Dim sum brunch is offered only on weekends. Reservations highly recommended for this restaurant in particular, as bookings go quick!
The Glasshouse sits in the middle of the garden, offering family-style dining. Breakfast, lunch and dinner with a rotating menu (written on chalkboard!) after breakfast. I'm still hoping they share their chicken panzanella recipe.
The Living Room is the Manor’s bar, the warmest welcome just past the lobby with views of the gorgeous Southern Lawn. A small menu of stellar bites included.
Amenities
Estelle Manor is the perfect escape for those who want an active country break as well as those who prefer something quiet and relaxing. Outside, you can swim in the Riviera-inspired pool, which is heated year-round. There’s axe throwing, archery, air rifle shooting, falconry and foraging.
In the state-of-the-art gym, you can take studio classes or utilize the padel tennis courts. With 60 acres to roam, you can hike or take a leisurely stroll.
The Roman-inspired bath house and spa, Eynsham Baths opened officially in Spring 2024, featuring a tepidarium bathing hall, five pools, a lounge, ten treatment rooms, couples’ suites, thermal cabins and a bar.
Need to know
Reaching Estelle Manor from Central London is incredibly easy via train, or with a transfer right from London's Heathrow Airport.
The Manor has plenty of activities to keep kids happy, including mini Land Rovers and star gazing with s'mores. It's a family destination as much as it is a place for friends and couples. No one is left out but no group is an overwhelming majority of the guests either. There's plenty of room for everyone, and the relaxation starts the moment you pull up to the Manor's long driveway.
