    Hyatt Ziva Los Cabos is, first and foremost, a family resort. There’s a bevy of pools, a mini water park and a KidZ Club, where little ones can take part in all sorts of fun activities — like games and toys, pool time and more — while parents enjoy some well-deserved R&R (perhaps at the adults-only pool). There’s also a teen’s club for ages 13 and up.

    Rooms

    Even the entry-tier rooms at Hyatt Los Cabos offer plenty of space and plush furnishings.     Hyatt Ziva Los Cabos boasts a mix of international and locally inspired menus. In total, the resort has six restaurants, two casual eateries and six bars. Aside from select top-shelf wines and liquors, all meals, snacks and drinks are complimentary with the all-inclusive plan.

    Restaurants 

    Hacienda Baja Grill is a resort-casual steakhouse that sources its ingredients from the Baja peninsula. Dozo features Japanese and Asian fusion dishes along with a sushi bar and Tatami-style seating. Bon Vivant is an adults-only French restaurant with a contemporary menu and an extensive wine selection. Zaffiro, a trattoria-style restaurant and bar, mostly serves pastas, salads and pizzas. La Plaza is a family-friendly buffet serving fresh seafood and other local entrées and sides. And El Molino specializes in elevated Mexican cuisine.

    Casual stops

    Hyatt Los Cabos has two casual eateries: the Coco Loco Snack Bar and Coffee House. The former serves traditional Mexican cuisine, while the latter offers fine coffee, smoothies, pastries and other light bites.

    Bars

    All of the bars at Hyatt Ziva Los Cabos serve full drink menus, but each has a distinct vibe. Spirit of 1968 is a sports bar with pool tables and large flat screen TVs. El Piano Lobby Bar hosts live music every day and has a casual, fun atmosphere. The outdoor Baja Bar serves guests lounging around the adults-only pool, while Bar AZul serves guests swimming in the pool. El Mirador has a trendy, contemporary scene, and El Agave is a bespoke, tastings-only venue that serves tequila and mezcal from around Mexico.

    Pools, hot tubs & cabanas

    A big draw of Hyatt Ziva Los Cabos is its outdoor offerings. The resort hosts four main pools, one of which is exclusively available to adults. There are also two large hot tubs and even floating fire pits. 

    For an additional fee, guests can also rent private cabanas. The majority are found along the beach, but there are also many spread throughout the pool areas.

    Fitness center

    Hyatt Ziva Los Cabos features a fully equipped fitness center, lap pool and volleyball court. There are also nearby hiking trails (which, it should be noted, are not maintained by the resort).

    KidZ Club & mini water park

    Arts and crafts, games and an outdoor playground are just a handful of the things little ones can look forward to at Hyatt Ziva’s KidZ Club. The main pool complex also hosts a water park, complete with five waterslides and an array of smaller attractions.

    What’s interesting about the location? Is San José del Cabo part of Cabo (Cabo San Lucas)?

    Yes, San José del Cabo is part of the greater Cabo San Lucas area, and roughly 30 minutes from Cabo proper by car. 

    Cabo is one of Mexico’s most covetable vacation destinations. It’s best known for its upscale beach resorts gorgeous scenery and historic towns.

    How far is Hyatt Ziva Los Cabos from the airport?

    Los Cabos International Airport (SJD) is the area’s major airport, and the one you’ll likely fly into.

    Alternatively, some flights may arrive at Cabo San Lucas International Airport, which is closer to 45 minutes from the resort.

    How is parking & transportation handled here?

    Are the beaches at Hyatt Ziva Los Cabos swimmable?

    Unfortunately, no. That’s not to say you can’t enter the water, but the waves here are rough with strong undercurrents. The resort makes up for this with an expansive pool complex and loungers both on the shoreline and within the resort itself. 

    If you prefer to stay at a resort in Cabo with beaches that are safe for swimming, your Fora Advisor can share alternative recommendations. (But it’s worth noting that many beaches in the area have similar circumstances.)

    Does Hyatt Ziva Los Cabos have a water park? What about a nightclub?

    Hyatt Ziva Los Cabos does indeed feature a mini waterpark with five waterslides and several pools, most of which are meant for all ages (there’s one adults-only pool as well).
