Four Seasons Resort Bora Bora boasts picture-perfect accommodations and the hospitality to back it up. Despite the property’s remote location, Four Seasons doesn’t sacrifice quality or attention to detail. All units feature contemporary comforts — the brand’s signature bedding, refrigerated private bars, complimentary bathrobes, Nespresso stations… — and a design inspired by Polynesian culture.

Overwater bungalows & suites (with optional plunge pools)

The resort’s bungalows and bungalow-style suites sit above a private lagoon and provide immediate access to the water. Each features thatched roofs, hardwood floors and large windows that allow for plenty of natural light. Each bungalow has a private deck and comfortably sleeps up to three or six adults. Most units feature plunge pools in the primary bedroom. Overwater suites are more intimate, but offer all the same options (sans plunge pools). While the former easily accommodates small groups, the suites are better suited to three or fewer adults (Bora Bora is one of the best honeymoon destinations).

    Beachfront villas

One- to five-bedroom villas offer more variety in design and are best for group travel or extended stays.  Each unit sits on up to an acre of manicured grounds, providing an exclusive retreat with direct access to the resort’s white-sand beach. Enjoy a private plunge pool, expansive living spaces (both indoors and out) and unobstructed views of the lagoon and Mount Otemanu. Top-tier units also include a villa host who can help with just about everything, from dining arrangements to signing up for activities.

It wouldn’t be a Four Seasons resort without elite dining options, all of which are set outdoors. Arii Moana is an upscale-casual restaurant serving Mediterranean cuisine. Faré Hoa Beach Bar and Grill serves a mix of fresh seafood, steak and Polynesian-inspired dishes. Tere Nui has classic breakfast options, and on Mondays, hosts Oro’a Night, a Tahitian buffet accompanied by live performances celebrating local culture. Finally, Vaimiti features a blend of elevated Asian cuisine, with a special emphasis on Japanese seafood and wok dishes.

The resort’s open-air spa sits at the edge of the lagoon, and features a menu that incorporates ingredients made popular by local traditions (like Tahitian black pearl powder and monoi oil made from Tahitian gardenias). The resort hosts a well-equipped fitness center with a range of cardio and strength-training equipment. Yoga classes are available, too, and are often held in lovely outdoor locations.

If you’d like to venture beyond the resort, Four Seasons hosts several tours and special experiences. These include encounters with local wildlife in their natural habitats, helicopter rides and more.

The Kids For All Seasons program offers a range of activities for children aged five to 12, including arts and crafts, treasure hunts and guided nature walks that introduce kids to the local culture and environment. How do you get to Four Seasons Resort Bora Bora?

Most travelers fly into Tahiti's Faa'a International Airport (PPT) in Papeete, the main entry point into French Polynesia. To get to Four Seasons Resort Bora Bora, you’ll then need to take a domestic flight to Bora Bora Airport (a.k.a. Motu Mote Airport), which is located on a small islet just off the main island of Tahiti. Four Seasons staff will greet you at the airport and escort you to a boat transfer service. The 15-minute ride traverses a scenic lagoon directly to the resort.

What’s interesting about the location? What’s there to do in Bora Bora?

The resort is set on a private motu (islet) within Bora Bora’s famous lagoon. This location provides a sense of seclusion, intimacy and immersion in nature.

The crystal-clear lagoon is perfect for snorkeling, diving and paddleboarding. Explore coral gardens and encounter a variety of marine life, including rays and reef sharks (both of which are harmless provided guests exercise caution). For adventure seekers, jet skiing, parasailing and deep-sea fishing are popular options. You can hike through lush tropical forests, take a 4x4 safari tour or lounge on stunning beaches. Cultural experiences, like visiting local villages or attending traditional Polynesian dance performances, offer a deeper connection to the island's heritage.

During these months, the weather is typically warm, sunny and less humid, making it ideal for outdoor activities like snorkeling and sunning. Naturally, this weather brings tourist crowds. November to April marks the low season. This period experiences a wetter climate with occasional rain showers and a higher chance of storms, along with lower prices, fewer crowds and a more relaxed atmosphere.
