Fast Company just named Fora one of the most innovative companies of 2025. As the modern travel agency — one that combines tech and the human touch — we are especially excited about this recognition in the Travel and Hospitality category.
Fora has turned travel advising into an accessible, inclusive and rewarding career path. We eliminate pain points and barriers to entry so travel advisors at every level can start and grow a travel advising business. Today, we have over 7,000 advisors actively booking trips each month.
Fora’s tech-powered platform

In July 2022, we launched our advisor Portal — an all-in-one experience that encompasses hotel bookings, rates and availability, client data management and commission payout tracking. Since its launch, Fora Advisors have booked over 1.5 million room nights through the platform.
Modern technology is notably absent from the standard travel agency. Software tools for the travel agent industry are a maze of disparate systems that do not communicate with each other. They lack ease of use, security and personalization. Fora’s platform changes all this.
Our advisors can book over 145,000 hotels on our platform. Plus, they can see how often a hotel is booked, client reviews and detailed property reports from fellow Fora Advisors. Fora also leverages its finance data to show advisors when they can expect to receive commissions based on how quickly hotels pay. Our integrations with partners like Tablet and Expedia further enhance rate visibility, so Fora Advisors can get their clients the best available rates. We streamline the entire process, from researching to booking. Our advisors can secure a room in fewer than five clicks — and from their phone, no less — all with knowledge from Fora’s diverse community and robust booking data.
Our community-first, flexible approach

Fora's annual Live Forum conference
Before Fora, becoming a travel advisor was gatekept and expensive; part-time travel advising was unheard of. Now, whether you’re a millennial tech worker advising on weekends, a retiree leaving their 9-5 corporate job or a parent who wants to come back into the workforce, Fora is a place to start and build a flexible career.
Fora’s clients are often surprised to learn that their advisor is also a partner at a law firm, a CPA, a nurse practitioner, a food writer, a TV producer or an elementary school teacher. And though our advisors work remotely from around the world (we have advisors in over 100 countries), we believe advisors go further together.
We’ve instilled a highly collaborative culture. Fora’s community app, Forum, is a hive of travel advisor activity. Our hosted live events like site visits, FAM (familiarization) trips, the annual Live Forum conference and global Chapter program further nurture that core pillar of collaboration.
We will continue to empower thousands of travel-passionate people to discover work they love, enable travel providers to focus on delivering hospitality and become the obvious choice for anyone planning a trip.
Fora’s strong industry network

Through our technology and strong community, Fora brings new meaning to what an advisor is — and new energy to the role. But it’s not just the travel advisor who feels the effect of Fora’s innovation. Our hotel and travel partners have also noticed a positive impact on their businesses. Fora delivers high-quality clients to a diverse range of brands — far more than typical luxury travel agencies. Fora Advisors also tend to make more bookings to far-flung destinations.
Because many hotel groups are too small to invest in their own preferred partner programs, Fora created Fora Reserve. This in-house program helps independent hotels get the benefits of a larger preferred partner program, increasing their visibility and enabling them to extend perks to our community. Reserve is free to join, and we’re on track to deliver over 20,000 room nights to these independent hotels this year. And we’re just getting started.
