Day 1: Arriving in Buenos Aires

We landed at Ezeiza International Airport early in the morning and traveled for approximately 45 minutes to arrive at our gorgeous hotel located in the trendy neighborhood of Palermo.

After relaxing and freshening up for a while at the hotel, we went for a walk around Palermo. Wandering through Palermo's tree-lined streets, you'll discover boutique shops offering unique finds, pause for artisanal gelato in hip cafés.

Advisor Tip: It's a must to try the Argentinian Gelato. "TUFIC" is my go-to ice cream shop; it will change your perspective on ice cream forever!

Explore the vibrant street art of Palermo Soho, and soak in the relaxed atmosphere of the many little parks around this area. The afternoon in Palermo is a blend of cultural exploration, culinary delights and the trendy charm that defines this Buenos Aires neighborhood

As the evening descended, the vibrant nightlife came alive with eclectic bars and restaurants, making Palermo a perfect blend of leisure and sophistication.

Day 2: Old City Tour

Family enjoying in Buenos

We woke up early and had an amazing breakfast filled with very typical Argentinian delicacies. Today we chose to have a private city tour around the old neighborhoods of Buenos Aires. We started by traveling to "La Boca,” we walked around the colorful Caminito street, where vibrant houses and street art create a lively atmosphere, and witnessed passionate tango performances in the streets. The district's rich cultural heritage and artistic flair make for a captivating journey in this iconic neighborhood.

We then moved to San Telmo, with its historic charm, including its cobblestone streets to the antique markets. We explored the bohemian art scene in galleries, enjoyed live tango in Plaza Dorrego, and savored Argentine cuisine in a very traditional “Bodegon,” which is a typical restaurant from this area that captures the essence of a bygone era in the heart of Buenos Aires.

After lunch, we continued the tour by visiting Plaza de Mayo, surrounded by historic landmarks like the Casa Rosada. Steeped in political history, the square has witnessed protests, celebrations and poignant moments in Argentine history. Its central location, flanked by significant buildings, makes it a symbolic and cultural focal point for both locals and visitors alike.

We finished our tour by visiting the “Cementerio de Recoleta,” which offers a captivating journey through history among ornate mausoleums. Stroll along cobblestone pathways to discover the final resting places of notable figures like Eva Perón. The cemetery's architecture is a blend of art and mortality, creating a unique atmosphere where stories of Argentina's past are etched in marble and stone, making it a must-visit destination for those intrigued by art, history and cultural heritage.

We finished our day by going for some drinks and dinner at “Floreria Atlantico,” an award-winning bar/restaurant that is amongst the 30 best bars in the world.

Day 3: Tigre Exploration

Pizza in Buenos

We decided to take the day to travel and explore "Tigre," one of the calm and relaxed areas outside the big city. Tigre, located just outside Buenos Aires, offers a picturesque escape with its lush landscapes and intricate delta system. Boating through the delta's narrow waterways provides a unique perspective on charming wooden houses, local life and thriving nature. The Puerto de Frutos market showcases a vibrant array of crafts and fresh produce, adding a delightful touch to the visit. Overall, Tigre and its delta present a tranquil retreat from the bustling city, blending culture and nature seamlessly.

For dinner that night, we headed to a busy area in Avenida Corrientes where the most famous Pizza restaurant is located (the pizzas in Argentina are a whole different thing! You need to try them!)

Day 4: Jardin Japones

Jardin Japones

After enjoying an amazing breakfast, we headed to "Jardin Japones". The Japanese Garden, in Buenos Aires, is a serene oasis that beautifully encapsulates Japanese aesthetics within the vibrant city. Strolling through meticulously landscaped gardens, visitors encounter traditional elements like pagodas, bridges and serene ponds adorned with koi fish. Cherry blossoms in spring add a burst of color, enhancing the tranquil ambiance. The meticulous design, teahouse and bonsai collection make Jardín Japonés a peaceful escape, offering a taste of Japanese culture in the heart of Buenos Aires.

Day 5: Puerto Madero and Tango Show

Tango dance

We started the day with a stroll around Puerto Madero, a waterfront district in Buenos Aires, that seamlessly blends modernity with historical charm. Once an industrial port, it has transformed into a cosmopolitan hub featuring sleek skyscrapers, upscale residences and trendy restaurants. The Puente de la Mujer, a stunning pedestrian bridge, adds architectural flair. Along the waterfront promenade, visitors can enjoy picturesque views of the Rio de la Plata while dining at waterfront establishments. Puerto Madero is not only a symbol of urban renewal but also a dynamic area where business, culture and leisure converge.

After relaxing during the afternoon, we went for a tango show at Faena Hotel Buenos Aires. It is an exquisite experience that combines the passion of Argentine tango with the luxurious ambiance of this iconic hotel. The performance unfolds in El Cabaret, an opulent space within Faena, adorned with red velvet, dim lighting and a theatrical atmosphere. Renowned tango dancers and musicians take the stage, showcasing the sultry and rhythmic dance that is integral to Argentine culture. The combination of evocative music, skilled choreography and the glamorous setting at Faena Hotel creates a mesmerizing and unforgettable evening of tango entertainment.
