Day 1: Arrive in Santa Ynez Valley

I recommend getting an early start on your journey to the Santa Ynez Valley from your starting point.

Arrive in Solvang, the fairytale town. Explore the Danish-style architecture, bakeries, and charming streets. Check into hotel.

Day 2: Visit Mission Santa Ynez

Visit Mission Santa Ynez, for its historical significance and beautiful surroundings.

Grab lunch at Birkholm's Bakery a sandwich, salad, or indulge in a pastry! It's been family owned, for over 60 years.

For those with little ones, the Hans Christian Anderson Museum is a must see!

Day 3: Explore a Town

Pick a town to explore! The towns of Ballard, Buelton, Los Alamos, Los Olivos, Santa Ynez, and Solvang each have their own unique character. They each unveil a rich tapestry of cultural and historical landmarks. Find a tour that suits you in the town you choose.

Day 4: Take a Guided Tour

Drive to La Purisima Mission, one of the most extensively restored missions in California. Take a guided tour, you won't regret it! Maybe bring a picnic to enjoy at a scenic spot in the valley. Try dinner at Coast Range Restaurant & Vaquero Bar.

Day 5: Departure

Check out and take a leisurely stroll through Solvang or Santa Ynez and pick up souvenirs and have breakfast at one of the many bakeries and cafes to surely catch your eye. On your way out of town be sure to stop at a vineyard and purchase the local's favorite wine.
